Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
I was not specific in my query. I just wanted to know about the nut that is near the end of the rubber cap thingy. Couldn't understand if its for adjusting play or it should be fully tightened at all times. Anyways will check it out.Originally posted by Adilkadri123 View Post

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Did you say 50 minutes? That's an awful lot of time for the fan to be kicked in, at the max it shall be 5 to 10 minutes, again maximum. I hope your fan is working perfectly fine, do have a check in the coming days for the dead time, it it works fine, then you can consider the fan did its job, if it starts to run continuously here on, perhaps it is advisable to get it checked.Originally posted by bikersdream View PostWas caught in heavy traffic. Very slow traffic. Fan was continuously ON for 50 minutes.
Though bike was running fine and temperature was @normal 8 bars for all the time, point to worry is that earlier fan was off after 5-7 minutes. Then again after 2-3 minutes it would start and then stop.
It was not continuously ON earlier even in traffic.
Anyone who had replaced fan earlier, can you please comment.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
It is the locking nut for the shift rod (otherwise also known as the shift shaft). On loosening the locking nuts each end the shift rod can be turned to adjust the shift lever (the part which you move with your foot to change gear). The locking nuts have to be fully tightened after any adjustments are made. There will be play at each end as there are bearings under the rubber caps (otherwise also known as rubber boots).
Refer to page 76 in the user manual.

Sure I will check how it behaves in next few days, and visit service center if it behaves same again.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Guys I had a little question.. Regarding tyre pressure, the sticker on the bike shows 25 for front and 28 or 32(depending on pillion) for the back, whereas the manual shows 29 for the front and 30 for the back. What is the tyre pressure that you fill up normally?

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Keep it 28 in the front and 28 at the rear, make it 30 if you have a pillion and ride for more than 100 KMS with mixed conditions.Originally posted by AngadV View PostGuys I had a little question.. Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Completed the 1st long ride on the RC without the first service done. Solo trip to Shantiniketan. The way this thing pulls...my oh my! The clip-on bars are there only for holding on to the bike it seems. Pulled effortlessly till 150kmph in 6th gear. 1 teenager posed with me for a pic. Rode 410kms in a day.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Post 2: 1st Service and 500 KMS Traffic Updatest service so even after an oil change I could not feel much of a difference. Speaking about vibrations, I can hear a slight buzzing sound from my right side mirror. Any help to fix this would be great.
Coming to the quality of service at Nalstop, Pune, I felt it to be satisfactory. However, I would welcome a lot more detailed check on the bike, especially considering the fact that there have been many complaints from previous customers on the side stand bolt getting loose. As a result, I had to take it to nearest mechanic to tighten up the bolts.
Talking about the overall ride feel post 1ststPros:
- Performance
- For quick overtaking manoeuvres, just slight twist of throttle is enough
- One can easily move around in city in 3rd
Cons:
Need Assistance:
I plan to get the following upgrades for the bike. Please suggest with the right folks to get in touch with. Also it would be great if you could share an approximate cost of the component
One more quick question. Has anyone tried balancing their tyres after a tyre change? If so, please recommend a place in either Bangalore or Pune.

For upgrades, u would suggest first cover 3-4k on oddo, then try upgrades one by one.Originally posted by Shashank Rathod View PostPost 2: 1st Service and 500 KMS Traffic Updatest service so even after an oil change I could not feel much of a difference. For me the upgrades needed are
Hazard lights ~2k
Tank grip pad 2-3k
That's it for now.
