Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Brought my RC390 home today. Such a fun crazy bike to own which will definitely give your adrenaline glands a grand work out . And thats enough said and done about it. Also was lucky enough to ride the new Duke 390 equipped with slipper clutch. Its super fun aswell. Gear shifts are soo much smoother as well as the clutch play. Down shifting has become a breeze, there is no longer the knock you experience when down shifting. Eitherway I didn feel like it was worth waiting for as I was already excited with what the RC had to offer. Plus if u blip shift, its uber fun to hear the exhaust note and also shifting gears will be much more comfier.Last edited by rondy_610; 03-11-2015, 12:10 AM.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hi Friends,
So I finally got to take a pic of Bubbles standing alone. The other pics I had of her was with my other bikes in the background. Well, I was saying in an earlier post that I wanted to put white lights "Philips Extreme Vision 4300k" on the projectors and I have changed the bulbs today.
It is very easy to change the bulbs as it hardly takes 10 minutes. Just plug n play. The only dissapointment is that I did not get 4300k and instead installed 4000k. Now the problem is; the original bulbs are itself very bright and powerful just that it looks yellow. 4000k has a slightly whiter shade. 4300k is supposed to be the best "pure white light" as I have it fitted on my Thunderbird TBTS and I can vouch for the whiteness. 4000k does not make much of a difference compared to the original bulbs so I am planning to buy another set of bulbs tomorrow probably 5000k. One peice of advice guys is; try not to go over 4300k cause anything over 4300k and the light shade starts turning blue. The reason why I am going in for 5000k is because 4300k is not available here otherwise I would have bought it in the first place instead of the 4000k. All in all; if you guys want white lights.... Its just 10 minutes work.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
^^The stock bulbs and the replacements are halogens, halogens give their best output at 3800k , an hid projector retrofit would be nice, though you would need to fabricate a lens up front out of acrylic to protect the glass, if you have the time and patience, it would be a nice project.Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Btw would u install both high beam and low beam 4300k or high beam as 5000k and low at 4300k ?Originally posted by Liveforpower View PostHi Friends,

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Well. the stock bulbs are rated as 55w low beam and 65w high beam. The bulbs cost me Rs:700 each so I don't want to spend another Rs:1400 again replacing bothOriginally posted by emon1990 View PostBtw would u install both high beam and low beam 4300k or high beam as 5000k and low at 4300k ?

. I would only buy the High beam 65w and use 5000k for high beam. I knew I should have bought 5000k the first time itself, but I did not know that 4000k and 4300k would have such a vast difference in whiteness

KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Check the stompgrips website, I don't think they yet have a product specifically for the RC. However, what you can opt for is the universal Dhaka which are in square, circular and oval shape. Since the tank section, where the thigh grabs it is pretty flat, I don't think it would be an issue installing those universal grips.Originally posted by ammaity View PostCan anyone guide me where can I find Stompgrip for RC390 online.
To buy those you can get them from performance racing. They are for 3.5-4k I suppose. Not sure.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
