Hello riders

I'm yet to book an rc.im confused between the 200 and 390.abs is the only reason I'm pulled towards the 390.my ride would be mostly in the city and once in a while on the twisties . what's the fuel efficiency you are getting on 390? Considering the low tank capacity.is the 390 comfortable in the city or shall I go for the 200? Please help me guys!

Hello everyone i have been following this thread from the start.. u experts give solutio to every query.. im sad to say that my ktm duke 390 got stollen by giving ad in olx.. its only 8 months old.. me and my family would be grateful to u all if there is anyway of getting my best friend back.. i got this bike after borrowin money from my friends..now im doomed & hurt to unimaginable extent..plz help sir..

In neck to neck traffic its very difficult with the 390. For city I use a scooty. If you have an alternate ride then go for the 390 if not go for 200. But again abs is an important factor. Personally I feel its better to go with Honda CBR 250 if you want an all rounder bike or wait for pulsar 200SS whose launch is round the corner. The fuel efficiency that I am getting in the running in period is 26 kmpl.

So guys.
based on your inputs i have zeroed in on Rynox for gloves. However i m still confused about getting a tank bag or saddle bag. I would not like any panel of the bike getting rubbed due to them. hats how i m more inclined towards a suction based tank bag now.
Any one here using the same, kindly elaborate your experience with it. Does it change any riding dynamics of the bike as the load goes to front or rider comfort (additional strain).
I am also thinking of dedicating one Sunday to repaint my old Ninza helmet. Its very good in comfort and safety but doesnt go well with vibrant scheme of RC. So any ideas on how to do it. Whether its even feasible. How to get metallic spray paint and design plates. Or should i just forget about it n buy a new LS2.

Havent rode 200 but tried on it in showroom. May be i m naive, but riding stance seemed to be same. Plus if mileage is not an issue, ABS is worth zeroing in on RC 390.

so bad man!! all of us could understand .
1.report police.
2.try to get CCTV from all nearby hotels/socities/shops during that period. this can help a lot
3.keep eye on all online sites for few days or months where bikes/parts are sold
4. inform all KTM/bajaj service center, if someone found suspicious please inform
5. Get FIR from police and file claim with insurance company.. at last this can Surely help you for loss happen on financial front

Forget about the bike. Get the insurance claim. Buy a new duke 390 with slipper clutch and with all new updates. The extra money you pay is really worth it.

this whole incident took place in front of DAV school at 4:30.. the person askd for test drive i sat behind he accelerated the bike & hit me .. i fell down.. everyone just watched him drive away.. its been 2months since.. i have the cctv footage from the school.. i have his whatsapp photo.. i even gave the police his ad in the same olx to sell my stolen bike but they never take any action.. all they want to give me s NTC..
Like u said sir u can get a new bike but u can never get inner peace.. my whole family loves my bike .. i feel like i lost my best friend forever.. every morning i wake up i start to think how much i miss him..

After i did my investigation i found close to 9 duke 390 got stolen in chennai alone in the same way.. and many other bikes ninja 300 , cbr 250r .. i know how much hurt all the owners would be.. these olx people dont even verify the buyers who call u.. lets say someone post an ad for their fridge ,washing machine, bed what do u think will happen.. i dont think its safe to post ads and invite these organised criminals to our doorstep..
This s my life experience .. be safe with ur bikes everyone install gps tracker,alarm system , disk locks ,even a sprocket lock would save ur valuable friend..

Here Are the pics of the new Duke 390 with slipper clutch which arrived at the dealership today

Couldn't get a test ride today but they definitely assured one on monday.

Moderator please don't mind me posting Duke's Pictures here as I am an RC owner

And Yes ordered slipper clutch assembly too for my RC

but they said it will take more than a month

Spoke to dealer in hyd yesterday as I am awaiting delivery of rc390 on Monday. He said that no news of rc getting slipper clutch in the near future. But can fitted for 7000 rupees and warranty etc will still all be valid. Anyway I honestly have a very open mind about this as I enjoy throttle blipping and engine braking.
