Was on my way to the airport when a dog came under the wheel all of a sudden (the dog was fine BTW) but i had a nasty fall at 70 KMPH. To my wonder the bike barely suffered bruises and the faring design actually protected my knees from major injury and the bikes weight never landed on me because of its design. A quick trip to the dealership and 1200 bucks later everything was good.
A very apt review Ajay. Even I am from Hyd, Great to find lots of bloggers from here. I hope the dog incident didn't lead to any major bruises. Do you think Single channel ABS would have helped? How does the bike behave under very hard panic braking? Do we tend to fall off like old pulsars? Thanks

Thank you for your kind words bro. It was a pretty nasty fall, no broken bones but a really bad case of road rash on the arms and leg. As i already mentioned the bikes faring design protected my knee caps from major injury and let me escape with minor bruising on the leg. I doubt a single channel ABS would have helped in this situation. I mean, i barely had time to break, the little devil came out of nowhere! The vehicle handles panic braking with great maturity. I have had more than one instances where i had to brake hard in both rush hour traffic and open highways. Even through the rear wheel locked up as expected, when i let go the bike recovered like a pro without that wobbling that happens after one recovers from a locked tyre. Also the weight definitely helps the stability in such situations and this one's weight is rather evenly distributed, saved my ass more than ones... :P But i would suggest better tyres.. the stock MRF's are great but Pirelli's would help a lot in such situations.

Also even application of brakes helps out a lot during panic braking. Here's a link i found very useful over the years! Safe miles!

              Hi,

My user manual was stolen around a month back (it was in my backpack for some reason, which was stolen). I have filed an FIR of the same, and called up Bagga Link who told me that service now happens through your phone number, and wouldn't need the service pages from the manual.

In any case, my RS has done around 2.5k km now and wanted to know when is the next service due... Please help.

I had taken the delivery in July first week.

Your first year of the bike purchase has 3 free services on is 750 KM then 5000 KM and next is at 10000 KM. (first year being 360 days from the date of purchase)

Second year has 4 paid services each at 5000 km interval after last service.(second year being 361 to 720 days from the date of purchase)

So try to get your remaining two services considering you got the first one done in the remaining time of your first year and then starts the painful paid service.

Bajaj has designed a bullet proof plan to squeeze the money out of us in the name of services.

Mate, first report the issue to Bajaj by sending email or contacting regional officers. Now for time being, reinstall the fallen nut & check all nut/bolts for loosening.

For 'ghnnnnn' sound, please take a video with clear sound, so that we can take a look at it.

Had gone to the service centre and saw that they are delivering the RS200 with the Euroslip tyres.
Can't believe Bajaj is doing this with their most premium product.

Hey guys finally I was able to upload the video last night. I couldn't get 3 bikes, but I got an almost same Black RS 200 to compare the sound of the tappets.

@Yatheesh bro please do have a look and share your thoughts. Anyone with more knowledge than me who can watch the video and tell me if my tappets need adjusting?
