Ok so Now i feel a 'Long term'' review is in order.

Kindly Someone , maybe done over 5K kilometers, write one up?.

Please mention service experience, any parts start to rattle? loose clutch or throttle? brake pads gone too soon? Maybe write 10things you hate or love about the bike? Will up grade soon? or is 600 Enough power for our conditions? do you feel the bike lacks character? or still exiting?

Just to summarize it all !Rate from 1 to 10

    Thanks

I heard the same thing a few days back so went to DSK showroom in Pune and enquired- sadly this is not true or even if true, the ABS kit is not being offered as an after market. However, I spoke to Roshan- the workshop manager and he says that they can do an upgrade and that means changing a lot of components- but it will cost upwards of 1.5 lakhs which I feel is totally not worth it

Ok, So here is my short review after close to 11 months and 5k odd kms and 2 services.

I have ridden the bike in b2b traffic and on empty stretches as well.

          Pros :

The handling of the bike is still awesome with no vibes or rattles. When you start riding, the bike feels light weight, I don't know where all the weight goes :P and I have squeezed my bike even in b2b traffic without any effort.
The front brakes are still going strong and the front brake bite is good.
I have not faced any electrical problems w.r.t to digital meter, battery etc.

The bike is still awesome to ride even with few niggles below.

          Cons :

          1. The clutch is little hard even after replacing a new clutch cable
          2. Gear shift is not smooth now, I hear a big tak sound when I put the 1st gear. I don't know whether this is a problem in my bike or other bikes as well. The gear shift will be smooth right after the service, but after a month, the smoothness disappears.Even while changing the gears, the gears sometimes don't engage perfectly as it used be in the beginning. Is there any solution to it ?
          3. Rear brakes are horrible, you have to use some after market pads to improve it.
          4. I felt there is a drop in mileage of 1-2 kms after the first service. Now in city I get around 14 kms. Earlier I used to get around 16 kms. I don't know whether my riding style has changed. But every time you see an empty road, you want to rip it so you can't complain about the mileage
          5. I see the the color of the rear foot pegs and some other metal parts which hold the rear foot pegs which was black in color has now turned to golden brown color :O. This is a poor quality painting.
          6. The service center in bangalore is just ok. Not that great. They are not very good. You don't have any option
          7. Average Cost of service is around 6-7k in blr.

No bike is perfect, every bike has its own pros and cons. I wold Rate it 6.8 due to above niggles.

the reason for discoloration maybe because of long exposure to the sun...& the "TAK" while engaging is normal in many superbikes..so no worries about that:-)

I am not sure about the 600GT as it weighs little more than 600i. But for 600i, as per the manual, the tyre pressure is

                        Front = 30psi (without pillion)
Rear = 33 psi (without pillion)

Front = 33 psi (with pillion)
Rear = 36 psi (with pillion)

I think it is ok to have same tyre pressure for 600 GT

I agree nothing is perfect .. you should know whats the purpose of you buying it for.. If you need a racer and you buy GT then why to blame GT .. but I think some things are basic which all bike should have and some are according to your need ...

This is common. In fact at Pune I thought only my bike had this problem- but it turns out- it is quite common with the 600i. The good part though is that it is covered 100% under warranty so get it fixed free of cost in your next servicing. Also- a good idea is to upgrade to the 4 years unlimited warranty for 4700 odd bucks. What Benelli lacks in terms of finesse, it more than makes up by way of customer service (at least in Pune)

First of all- congratulations mate. 1400 KMs for the GT is next to nothing- it is built like a tank. Tyre pressure for high riding for the diablos is 32 in the rear and 30 in front. Do note that air expands at high speeds so less air is always better than over inflated if . In the city though it does not matter really

                                I had a technical issue.
My temperature bar shows 119 to 125 degree temperature and coolant keeps flowing out.
Got it replaced by the company
