Will test the ABS once I get used to the bike a bit more. The weight is a big jump from my CBR250 and so is the riding position. Also being my first bike with an ABS, I need to get more accustomed to the handling before I test out the ABS. The brakes are the same Benelli developed brakes as the models without ABS. The only addition is the ABS, nothing else has been changed. The back brake is very spongy and lacks bite big time, but then again this may be as the bike is new and the pads have to set in. Front brakes are the real deal. The brakes work pretty good with both back and front used together. The rear brakes are spongy, not because it is new, but it is due to the bad material. Hello guys I think I will be moving towards versys 650 as DSK isnot interested in launching 600GT with ABS any time soon and the wait is killing me

....

If you're looking for just the above 600cc class then give the CBR650F a shot. If it's more of a mean machine in terms of specs then the Daytona is your best bet, as the Benelli 600i is no mean machine in terms of specs and neither would be a 600i faired version (which doesn't exist as of now). The CBR650F is an all round excellent bike except in the pricing dept.
The CBR 650F and benelli makes 85 hps approx, so there is going to be a room for an upgrade but as far as i think after daytona 675 there will be less room for an upgrade and i am thinking of buying the next bike as my last bike.
The z800 has nice power but you will feel the need of fullfaired bike after 180km/hr

I know its asking a lot, but thats what Yamaha did with the R3 @3.7lac to beat Ninja300 @4.1lac
When the daytona 675 can be for 12lac with 128hp(or118 hp) why can't R6 be around 10 lac for 105 hp, its a thought and it won't happen unless they mfgt in India
Well in Maharashtra there are couple of highways where you can(not legal) on a track maybeNo replacement for an engine Displacement

For bringing R6 under 10L range yamaha will have to bring it in CKD way, and that will take a long time for Yamaha because they will observe what market is about and will it be fruitful for them or not. Getting to those speeds on our Indian roads you have to be either very skilled (even that doesn't help nowadays) or the roads have to be clear and perfect. And it's not everyday you will reach or cross the 180 mark so to speak. For my personal use I prefer something I can use in the city for everyday use and having that weekend fun on the highways, for which the current bike is perfect.
And having the R6 or the CBR600RR within 10 lacs will only remain a dream if it does ever hit the Indian roads.

Me too for daily commute i will be using my D200 and the sport bike for weekend rides
And for the price part I think I said 10 lacs approx just like the daytona 675 is priced but a lac less.

Had given the bike for replacement of front fork oil seal and they replaced the front fork oil seal (just 42 Rs
) with no cost as it is under warranty, however they charged the money for 2 liters of fork oil, It is around 300 Rs /Litre
. Also the clutch was hard and told them to check, They tried greasing it, but it was still the same and later they asked me that they should replace the clutch cable itself
. Around 800 Rs gone. But now gear shift is really smooth.
BTW can someone tell whether hard clutch affects the mileage ?? Gear shifting was were hard all these days. Bcoz I had complained about low mileage in my previous posts. I even told the service center to check everything and they told everything was fine like air filter etc. Now I need to see if the mileage improves
I had lost the left side benelli round logo which is on the tank, I don't know whether some stole it or is just fell down. So replaced that as well along with a Tank Pad and Benelli 3D Logo

Total Kms is 4500. Fork oil was leaking due to rubber oil seal fault. This was a manufacturing defect. Regarding clutch cable, yes now the gear shift is smooth and also there is no hardness while applying the clutchPast & Current Bikes :

its disturbing as these things make you feel that should you rely on these machines if you take them to some isolated areas around world to have best moments of life.... these things are spoil sport for mind as much as I feel.
Last year a freind of mine with his KTM390 with approx 8K kms was with me to a spiti trip.. his oil leaked and due to inverted shocker setup complete oil leaked within quickly.. MY ZMR with 45K kms only once ......
These small things is making me feel that versys would be a better bet if I somehow ignore the love of inline4
