Re: Upgrading help needed
I had used the 600i for a good 14 month period and clocked about 7.5k kms in it. First thing you notice is the bump in power. I upgraded from a CL500 to the TNT600i. I fell for the Inline 4 setup and the sound it creates. I am a sucker for Inline 4, should sayOriginally posted by sharathcc View PostHello All, i'm planning to upgrade my bike from R15 V2 to Benelli 600i with ABS. Can you please help in letting me know if Benelli 600i is a good choice? Any problems with this bike etc etc.... Please help. Awaiting expert advice....
Pros are always there - Attention, detail, looks etc. The bike has enough torque to push inside the city. Post 7k, the character changes completely, you will hang on to the bike for your life, it wont listen to you anymore
.
Cons - After sales service is a bit pain when coming to the parts, it takes ages to reach in case if it needs replacement and the some of the OEM parts are shit in quality, like brakes, chain etc.
One thing you must be clear while trying to own a SBK is , are you really prepared to spend 60-65k in expenses for maintenance and operational cost. This does not include your wear and tear parts - CHain, brakes, tires etc.
If you are ready and aware of such expenses, then go for it, you will not regret it.R15S - Current

re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
I thought ASS is fantastic for benelli DSK pune and the sales representative told me that brakes pads life use to get over in 5000 to 6000 kms before but after ABS version it will last 10k kms easily he also told me that the brake pads have been changed to much better quality than befores , i dont know about chain or anything elSe but i specially asked for brakes . And availibility of parts for all super bikes the story is the same let it be Benelli or trusted kawsaki or suzuki, hyosung, ducati ,triumph , harley infact my friend who owes a ducati had some problem with immobilizer and he had to wait for good two and a half month for that part to arrive if an unusual part gets damaged than u have to wait for atleast a month or two i guess .Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostI had used the 600i for a good 14 month period and clocked about 7.5k kms in it. but i can say as the sale for benelli is increasing day by day DSK should be keeping most of the parts in there inventory for least customer harrasment and incease there trust on the customer .
Just want to hear some good ownership review of 600i which has clocked around 10k kms
Prons and cons

Looks like you are overwhelmed here just by the brakes. I hope you are aware of the ownership and operational costs as well. Do consider that before making your decision of buying any SBKs.Originally posted by jesal View PostI thought ASS is fantastic for benelli DSK pune and the sales representative told me that brakes pads life use to get over in 5000 to 6000 kms before but after ABS version it will last 10k kms easily he also told me that the brake pads have been changed to much better quality than befores , i dont know about chain or anything elSe but i specially asked for brakes . I am putting this down from my experience and I serviced my bike here in ChennaiOriginally posted by jesal View PostHey Archer plz update me with the ownership and operational cost as its my 1st SBK i am un aware about it .
First Service (w/o labor) - 4.5k
Second service onwards - 7.5k+ (labor for 600 is 2400 INR)
Pirelli angel tires - A pair will cost you close to 30k
Brakes - Front + rear will cost you close to 8-9k
Chain sproct set - Cost 25k, if you maintain it diligently, may last up to 20k, if you dont give a damn about it, then < 15k
Insurance - varies between 9-12k depending on what you opt for.
Tires and chain life is purely on owners way of handling and riding.R15S - Current

3500 rs for 1st servicing
6500 rs after that from 2nd servicing
Tires ll last around 20k kms i guess
Chain sproct set is too expensive i guess
Insurance is must
Brakes are 9k from dsk and if we import from alibaba that are around 5k to 6k .

Ohh thats too less .. anyone using 600i plz update about the tyres and chain kitOriginally posted by Chandan92 View PostI don't think pirelli tyres would last for 20k kms because of being soft compound. Anything between 12-14k kms are good enough.
