Re: Benelli TNT 600i - Onwers' Reviews & Experiences
I guess those are bought from the showroom itself. Must cost you around 4k. You can get them and ask your SVC to fix it for you. For the front, you need to remove the screw that fits the frame to the engine head and add the sliders and screw it along with the frame. For the rear, I dont know if it is fixed along with the swing arms spool.Originally posted by jamesrocky View PostWelcome to the club. Nice pics. Btw can you tell me about those frame sliders. re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
Guys Just a suggestion. Be very careful while choosing the right sliders for your bike. These are products which have to be engineered well. If you fall of from a stationery bike that's all fine and good. Any guard will take that impact. But if you slide and go down, the sliders should wear out and keep the bike safe. Sliders are a controversial accessory. Some swear by it and some hate it. There are crash examples which show them to sometimes cause worse damage just due to the nature of having something sticking out which can grab the ground and pitch / topple the bike worse than if it didn't have sliders.
Please look at reputed manufactures like R&G, SW Motech, Puig, Woodcraft etc. It's money well spent.
Cheers

re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
Yes, I agree - In fact when I decided to buy Triumph Street Triple, one key reason was that Benelli 600i didn't have ABS...Although Street Triple and 600i are not exactly in same class, their price is quite different too...I think for its price, Benelli is a very good deal and I actually wanted to go for it..Originally posted by Deathwing View PostAddition of abs will definitely put this bike up there as a very strong middle weight contender, I will be more inclined to the benelli now than previously n more than the er6f.
Anyway, now I am totally happy with Street Triple so far through last 3000 km...But surely Benelli bikes are also nice...Long term reliability is questioned by many - but then we never know long term reliability of even all other superbikes too much in India as these all have been properly launched only in last few years...
Older models were maintained by their owners with lot of personal efforts and that is not comparable to current condition where it is serviced by authorised centres....So, older reliability results themselves may not be entirely reliable

So why buy this? Isn't a Triumph cheaper in the long run? ( not challenging anyone. Just to help me make up my mind. Would appreciate your arguments for/ against either one. )
My congratulations to all who have bought the 600 Lucky guys to be able to hear that seductive howl every day.

First year, it will be 4 times (i.e.) 1,4,8 & 12th monthOriginally posted by Old Biker View PostHi there, can you tell me what the yearly service cost will be? I understand the bike has to be serviced every 4 months.
Second year onwards , it will be thrice a year (i.e.) 4,8 & 12th month
On average - Service cost will be 28k the first year and 24-25k the second year onwards.
I have no idea how much would the service of other bikes comes to. But one thing I doubt is, the engine oil quality after 6k kms on the other bikes. We run in a country where dust/ppm in the air is more than the O2 content itself. So i wonder how clean the oil will be. Just a doubt in my mind.R15S - Current
