  • re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences

I ride a modded ZMA by Joel and when I rode the 600i on double road in Bangalore, I absolutely loved it. Now people who know where the showroom in Bangalore is and have experienced the traffic in that area would know what I am talking about. Let me tell you that I first rode the 300 and I was like, my ZMA has a better punch but 600i was thrilling.

Now, people are going on and on about the lack of power. Let me ask, what do you want to do with so much of initial torque and power. Wheelie? Drag? Track day? Show off? Or shove your bike in the vehicle in front of you...

People don't dream of an H2 performance in all bikes. And for a change by throwing money if if you are able to get it, we Indians don't know how to use it. I have seen it all on how people use these machines on road. Out of all the people who own big bikes in our country, there is a very small percentage of people who justify it. Rest are still learning on how to tame the tiger.

Go out with your big bike in peak traffic hours, even a 50cc TVS Champ will put you to shame. Activa will make you feel miserable.

So folks before you spend your hard earned money on bike, ask yourself a question... What are you buying this bike for? City ride? Touring? Etc.. and weather or not it satisfies your desire? Also if the bike meets your expectations? If most of the boxes are checked. Go for it...

so, latest 'chull' is, has anyone tried getting a Quick Throttle of our bike ? If yes please do share. If not, please try and look for any option available.
I really think our 600 needs a quick throttle to save all that wring on longer rides. I'm sure it'll save some wrist fatigue too

        Now thats our professor talking!

          Hello Mates,
This thread has helped me to gain knowledge about and finalize my first 600 Cc motorcycle. 11th April is the day when it will appear in my life.
Please let me know things to take care of before taking a delivery of 600i.

Thank you very much in advance.

I haven't tuned, it's with stock tune . I've removed baffles/DB Killers too, and it sounds extreme monstrous and powerful, and my neighbour homes are pretty annoyed when I go out on bike. I'm planning to install the DB killers back.

                    Cheers,

The 8k mark thing - though it's factually correct; try pushing a 85ps machine on Indian roads on full throttle and you'd realise how futile that power is.

What I mean to say is, don't go by what you've heard or read, as everyone has a context to what they're saying, but, they generally omit the context or we chose to ignore it while listening/reading.

A sincere suggestion would be to try it out yourselves! Go ahead and take a test ride!

Now back to the question - Does the fun start at 8k? Well, it depends on what you call fun! If, for you, acceleration is the only fun thing in a bike, this isn't something you should be considering. You'd probably be better off even with a Duke390 at 1/3rd the price.

PS - I'm not judging your opinion, but, somehow, I feel you're believing only with what most people say. There's much more to it!

You read the reviews etc and then form the same opinions and to an extent that you carry it with you even before test riding the bike.
Let me give you my example...upon having decided to upgrade, the two bikes that I liked and which were in my budget were the ER6N and the 600i...! N where I went wrong was that I saw all these YouTube videos talking about how the 600i doesn't have any lower or mid range torque etc etc..n I carried that with me...!! After having test ridden both the bikes (and seriously, I had half a mind of not even going for the benelli test ride), I was trying to find faults with the 600i to reassure myself that I was making the right decision with the er6n and I kept telling myself that it lacks the punch, it lacks the torque...but two days later, I could still feel the thrill of riding the 600i and absolutely had no recollection of having ridden the er6n...! That's really when i started listening to my heart...next thing I know I rent a 600i from wicked Ride and took the bike for a longer ride on the kolar road...where I experienced both bumper to bumper traffic and also empty stretches of road...n I knew then there was no way I was getting anything but the 600i cause the sheer pleasure and the feel of riding it was immense. Yes it takes a lil while to fire up, but once it does you better be holding on for life... and frankly, the bike has a decent low and midrange torque as well....my purpose is not to get in drag races, so really until it's that for anyone, the bike has enough low and midrange torque..
Having said this, to each their own and I am definitely not questioning the motovloggers...a few of the are really really good and provide good insights..but at the end of the day, biking to me is an indulgence and you would be better off listening to your heart... So booked my 600i and I should get it early next month... Wohooo...can hardly wait...

Anyhow, wanted to check if there is any 600i owners group in Bangalore that exists....!! If not we should definitely look at creating one...

do they even understand the difference between 'lack of something' and 'character of something'. True that benelli doesnt have the initial punch, but is that even required mostly ? I guess the calm initial of this bike results in making this one of the most comfortable to ride around, be it highways or bumper to bumper. you cant do that with mostly any other sbk available. Even the duke390 fries your crotch, but this one amazingly manages to stay much cooler in worst situations. I havent ridden z800 so I really dont have much reviews of comparison points here. But I just wanted to mention that people should first understand the character of bike rather dissing.
Professor Gupta..problem is that platina/discover owners are the experts on the SBK scene in India

So true. Motovlogging in India, just like any other 'in' trend, is spreading like plague. Viewers must choose wisely before getting influenced by Unexperienced-'action-camera-is-my-life'-'i-dont-a-****-about-maah-englees'-'i judge-a-bike-in-15mins-city-traffic' kinda people.
