I would think the CBMOTO 650F would be the perfect bike to compare it to once that arrives.

Is it going to arrive? Why can't Honda release the cb like what Kawasaki did with the ninja 650r as the er 6n n benelli with the 600i and 600gt?also pricing of this bike is crucial, anything above 7 after tax is a waste. I have a doubt is it possible to put the gt exhaust on the 600i?

I had a personal experience just this weekend.
I was following a bus for while irritated that it wasnt giving way for long
We were both at extreme right of the road alongside divider & at a good speed (60-70)
Since right was a divider and bus wasn't giving way I was driving the bike on the left side of the back of bus waiting for an opportunity to overtake from left.
Suddenly the bus went left giving me way on the right.
As I prepared to overtake, I gathered speed (in my frustration) .
I went to right & as the bus went out of the line of sight I realized that I was behind a very slow moving lorry carrying iron bars !!
I braked really hard & thankfully bike lost speed & almost stopped just before I was about to hit the iron bars..
i did not skid & lost track.

Oh did not mention I was on a Ducati Scrambler

Had it not been ABS i would have been in hospital or dead.

Wait for it and yes dont believe that they can be retrofitted.

I had to panic brake at 115 from my AS200, and I managed just fine. ABS is not a substitute for skills or situational awareness.

For a small twin R3 and as a proud owner , I can vouch 160-170(speedo reading) is cakewalk for this gem of a bike. Yes 180+(speedo reading) is where the R3s struggle owing to the 6th gear ratios.
        R3 top speed (claimed) 185 km/hr
        600i 220 km/hr

        R3 0-100 claimed - 6 seconds
        600i claimed - 4 seconds

        Just saying
390 price in India = 2 lakhs ex showroom
        ER6n price = 5.2
        Benelli 600i price in India = 5.5
Duke690 price in india = nobody knows (atleast 5, IMO). Having to live with this crap. Utterly priceless. Pro tip. Watch 3.30 seconds onwards, if you are short on time. https://youtu.be/PHxJeSD1XmA

Older model of 690 had lot of problems with too much of vibration and false neutrals. However, 2016 Duke 690 comes with secondary balancer shaft which takes out the vibes almost completely and makes it hard to believe that it is a single cylinder engine. Even the power and torque gets a little bump. Check this out https://youtu.be/ldB4MhMani0

              Me too think the same.
              Anyways back to the topic.
Saw a 600i and a 600gt both fitted with IXILs.
              Sounds incredible.

Found out about the ABS and according to even the dealer in Chennai, there is no communication on the release of the abs variant that they or anyone else has received. N according to them, they haven't taken the booking for the abs variant...so I don't really know...what I know is that the abs variant will definitely come but from what I have been able to find out it wouldn't be before August...if it comes out earlier well, it does...what I know is that my bike has reached Bangalore from Pune and I saw it in person and looks absolutely amazing..got the sliders (front and back) from benelli installed on it as they really are value for money, and the tank guard ...now all that needs to happen is the filing the papers with the rto and I should get the delivery by Thursday next week..can hardly wait...
All I need to get now is a radiator guard...so if anyone knows of a place or a link for online ordering, please let me know...

I don't really think we need radiator guards, do we?

It's been about 5k kms n 5 months, I don't see any bent fin or anything wrong with my radiator.

Generally the fins go bad when its hit by high pressure water at service centers. If the guys who washing it are educated about this issue then there are very less chance of damaging it.

There might be chances of small stones that might sneak in and do some damage to the radiator but yeah always a good option to have a protective layer in front of it. Although the one in Aliexpress costs around $45, not really cheap is it.

                        Hello there everybody,

Time has finally come for me to upgrade my current motorcycle to a faster and better machine. Now Benelli 600i IMO strikes as a real VFM product when you think about it. Sure you do have other options which some may feel are more refined bikes than the Benelli tnt bikes. I'm here to get peoples thoughts on the bike and of course the owners, please do give valuable insight on the bike.
I feel like my heart is set on this bike(TnT600i), hopefully and if all goes well I should be booking it in a couple of weeks. A bit about my bike usage pattern : Well, lets see...

ATM I'm buying this for weekend rides, or weekday rides nothing in particular basically just to ride, see what the Italian has to offer on Indian conditions. And also to do with a little bit of city commuting.

One of the major worries is the discussion about ABS on this bike - will DSK benelli offer retrofitting once the abs model is launched? I guess not.. Is it really needed?
Can you buy aftermarket abs system for this bike? Brembos maybe
Customer & After sales service by DSK Benelli -- can You rely on them?
Headlight -- This for me I feel is one of the major drawbacks of this bike, okay its not bad looking --- but -- I mean c'mon the tnt300 headlight looks better. What about the light throw? Anybody done night riding on this beast yet? How was the experience?

I think if possible better to wait for couple of months. ABS model would be available by then. As of now retrofitting cant be guaranteed - you will get contradicting replies.
Also recently there is news that Z800 would be assembled via CKD undercutting existing mrp by almost 1l. 7.2 on road for Z800 which already has ABS vs 6.4 on road for 600i ABS (assuming 30,40k price for ABS as per earlier news) would be interesting battle.

-- I also wanted a rad gaurd earlier but later decided to drop the plan. first, the fins are not that fragile and do take a beating. and not completely sure about this but the gaurds do come in the air flow and disturb a bit which could be a bit of an issue on longer rides.

                                Hello there everybody,

Time has finally come for me to upgrade my current motorcycle to a faster and better machine. -- 600i is definitely a decent buy and you wont regret your decision once you understand and get used to the character of this bike. I have ridden many sbks and quite familiar with the usual limitations of all the sbks specially in indian conditions. trust me, indian conditions is something really important while getting a sbk here. I'm sure you'll love the smooth and linear character of this bike and will get easily used to the way it handles bcz it does it beautifuly.
you'll love how it doesnt boils you in heat unlike other options available.

ATM I'm buying this for weekend rides, or weekday rides nothing in particular basically just to ride, see what the Italian has to offer on Indian conditions. And also to do with a little bit of city commuting.

-- u'll face no major issues while doing so. infact you'll be more comfortable that folks riding the tiresome super sports bikes. nothing against them, its just about the nature of different bikes and how to make the best out of them. Ppl do track riding on adv tourers and tour on super sport too , but its always better to use the correct machine for suitable purpose, which in 600i case will leave you with many options open. You can do occasional tracks on this bike, you can take it to long tours too, and its one of the most comfortable street sbks out there..

One of the major worries is the discussion about ABS on this bike - will DSK benelli offer retrofitting once the abs model is launched? I guess not.. Is it really needed?

-- retrofitting wont be available, as told by a technical from pune plant.
about if it is needed, well ot definitely is a better technology and technology always helps. on the other hand, rather that being upset abt lack of abs, i say its better to understand what exactly abs is for and how we can work on our braking technics and improve day by day. abs is a life saver as it doesnt lock the wheels under panic braking. If we dont have abs, its always better to practice braking more and more bcz its always better to work on skill that relying on technology. While abs does its job, it increases the stopping distance of bike quite a bit which is not very helpful in a lot of cases and must be understood well. These bikes are heavy and do take some time to come to halt, but at the same time the brakes are quite strong and once practiced well, you can avoid many adverse situations.
so decide if you are fine with the non-abs version or if you can wait for the abs one. I'm sure the abs version should have option of turning it off when required.

Can you buy aftermarket abs system for this bike? Brembos maybe[emoji14]
-- not always suggest bcz company fitted item is always recommended. plus it'll be quite expensive if available. also another question would be who will fit it right.

Customer & After sales service by DSK Benelli -- can You rely on them?

-- if u are in delhi, absolutely not. it sucks badly. any other city, i guess there have been no bad reports so far.

Headlight -- This for me I feel is one of the major drawbacks of this bike, okay its not bad looking --- but -- I mean c'mon the tnt300 headlight looks better. What about the light throw? Anybody done night riding on this beast yet? How was the experience?

-- yes the headlight is a big turn-off for most owners. i wish benelli had given something kickass like thr 899
Although an option of fitting 899 headlight on 600 is available at aliexpress, you can check it out. one of our friend has it and looks killer.
The headlight throw is not that great. I have done a lot of night rides. in city and hills. the low beam is more of less useless for me. the way I have resolved it is, I adjusted the high beam to quite low setting and use it mostly while night riding.

I hope I could answer your questions without boring much[emoji14]
