Those who are looking for bungee chords, I suggest you to go through this article. https://outdoortravelgearblog.wordpr...-bungee-cords/. I have the low quality bungee chord and it tore apart in 15 days when I was using in Ladakh. The best chords I have come across are those available on oliveplanet.in (http://www.oliveplanet.in/1-x-bungee...Bungee%20cords. I have abused these a lot and they are still like new. I highly recommend these as the other one can just get cut while riding and it's not a happy ending if it happens when you are riding 200+kg machine on high speed.

If DSK Benelli Chennai has started taking bookings for the 600i ABS, then so should the dealers across India..plus they would have got a confirmed intimation from DSK.
I just paid yesterday for my 600i after receiving assurances from the dealer here that AbS variant wouldn't come anytime in the near future, and according to him the bike is on its way from the factory. But since I still haven't taken delivery I think should be allowed to change it to the 600 abs and if not, then I should definitely be allowed to cancel the booking with whatever deductions. Let's see..will find out tomorrow.

But just to be sure, booking against some money was done and a receipt issued for the same with 600i ABS mentioned in it. If you could PM me a copy of that it'll make for a stronger case for me when I talk to the dealer. Thanks

Just told you 2 days back to wait for the ABS version and existing models can't be fitted with ABS.

Still no issues, ask them to put your purchase on hold and the back to not release the funds for another month.
Wait for the ABS to launch and then do your booking

Probably the dealership wants to rid of all the stock before ordering ABS variants for new bookings. Calling up corporate will only create more ruckus and wont get you anywhere as they haven't formally announced ABS probably in Bangalore / media yet.

For the first time, I took the bike on the Highway. I got the chance to feel the power of the bike. So I was doing 140 at 6k RPM, in 6th gear. Pushed the bike to 8k RPM, the bike became a Beast . I was able to touch around 170 kmph, but the road didn't allow me to push further. Hence I slowed it down

So when the bike crosses 8k RPM, the bike becomes stiff and feels like suddenly you are riding a different bike. When all other bike like 390,R3,Ninja becomes exhausted after 160-170, the 600i starts its power.

However it is very difficult to cross 8k RPM in 6th gear every time unless you have an empty stretch. Hence need to add a new ECU which is tuned for better low and mid range

I agree. ABS is a life saver especially for fast bikes.

I had a personal experience just this weekend.
I was following a bus for while irritated that it wasnt giving way for long
We were both at extreme right of the road alongside divider & at a good speed (60-70)
Since right was a divider and bus wasn't giving way I was driving the bike on the left side of the back of bus waiting for an opportunity to overtake from left.
Suddenly the bus went left giving me way on the right.
As I prepared to overtake, I gathered speed (in my frustration) .
I went to right & as the bus went out of the line of sight I realized that I was behind a very slow moving lorry carrying iron bars !!
I braked really hard & thankfully bike lost speed & almost stopped just before I was about to hit the iron bars..
i did not skid & lost track.

Oh did not mention I was on a Ducati Scrambler

Had it not been ABS i would have been in hospital or dead.

Wait for it and yes dont believe that they can be retrofitted.

Sir, I beg to differ that the YZF R3 is exhausted at 160-170.We all know the TNT 600 is a 4 cylinder beast and the The R3 is a small twin so the Benelli is hands down a more powerful bike and therefore the comparison is not apt here IMO. For a small twin R3 and as a proud owner , I can vouch 160-170(speedo reading) is cakewalk for this gem of a bike. Yes 180+(speedo reading) is where the R3s struggle owing to the 6th gear ratios.

No offense to any of the owners. Just sharing my thoughts, as I have ridden them and this is my first SBK riding experience. I am not comparing it. Just telling the difference at 170kmph. Offcourse you can't compare a 4 cylinders with twin or single cylinder

Actually you can compare very very easily if its the 690 Duke against the benelli 600i.
                              Just saying 🤓
