I didn't see any kind of gadget used by them while servicing. They just did the normal service like clean spark plugs, adding coolant, cleaning brake pads etc.Originally posted by dvsingh14 View PostPast & Current Bikes :

Re: Benelli TNT 600i - Onwers' Reviews & Experiences
Hey, why are you taking so much trouble to get the accurate mileage. lol All you need to do is fill the tank till full then ride about 30-50 kms and fill it till full again to find out how much fuel has been consumed exactly.Originally posted by nagoo View PostSorry to say , but your measurement is wrong , either you have not measured your numbers properly or the petrol bunk where you will fill your petrol is cheating you.
first get it filled up with say 500/1000 Rs petrol but before that mark the fuel meter bar/indicator [best measurement is when it flashes empty tank, as each bar can have lot of kms and difficult to say], then check when it reaches again to that measured point.
Regarding others fuel efficiency numbers some are believable and some take it with sea of salt :P , realist could be around 18-20 and +/- 2km max if ridden on highway, so basically consider practical fuel efficiency at 20kmpl [i don;t own benelli] , but my Ninja250 use to give max 25kmpl in highway and in city around 23-24kmpl and most 250's which i had [cbr,Gt250r,ninja] all are around 25-28kmpl , you see the pattern here. so consider 18-20 very realistic rest you can ignore.
your service engineer is correct its ECU in different conditions defines how much fuel to burn. so there won;t be difference among other bikes, if ECU is faulty your bike wont be working so its not bike .
Atleast this is how I've always been doing the mileage check for my vehicles. & it has never failed.

Re: Benelli TNT 600i - Onwers' Reviews & Experiences
There is a small electrnic stuff through which they connect the ECU of the bike and check the status of different sensors and ECU mapping. Do ask them to check on it .... Till then dont take so much stress might be its just bad fuel you are putting in thats why getting less or your beast is just too much hungry I guessOriginally posted by jamesrocky View PostI didn't see any kind of gadget used by them while servicing. HaHa yeah well in that case I'd take the bike out after 7 in the evening.Originally posted by nagoo View Postits same as i said , im going bottom up approach and your top bottom approach .. he..he.. But yeah the benelli anyways has an issue with the fuel tank, when you fill her up till full -- your not supposed to put side stand after cause petrol can leak out. Finally had some rain today which was much needed. I'm sure tomoro's going to be extra hot. :-/
Yeah bottom up approach is a good way for finding the mileage but I've found the other way to be more accurate -- that way you will have to do some guess work and add your own calculations + blah blah and you'll come to a figure thats close to the actual mileage, unlike the other way here - where you know the tank has 15L capacity so fill her up till full then ride 20 km and stop at a bunk to fill till full again --- if its less than 1 litre used then awesome. but thats just my opinion.

Hey guys just a shout out to everybody here --- anybody know any authentic SBK service centres(private maybe) other than company SC ??
When I ask this question I mean people who know what they are doing and people who offer genuine quality for money kind of places --??
All over India, the major cities, anywhere North south east west. Please -- Any and all accurate information is widely appreciated.
I've been asking around here in Bangalore with no luck, or maybe I'm looking at all the wrong places. lol I don't mind coming all the way to where ever the place is as long as it's professional work that's being done.
Anybody with insight please shed and enlighten. Peace.

Motozone in Pune are highly professional bike mechanics. They have worked extensively on ninjas and other bikes. Visit their fb page and call/msg them for your specific query.Originally posted by SmokeyMax View Postwhat about the ABS version, aren't you gonna wait for that?

re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
Today gave my bike to service center to check for few issues like mileage, the right front fork oil started leaking, luckily they said the oil seal will be covered under warranty. For mileage I asked them to check the o2 sensors as I had discussed about o2 sensors in my previous posts
Btw while discussing about mileage, one of the service guy said that if I keep the 600i in idle for 1 min, 80gms of petrol would go to each cylinder during that 1 min. Which means 80X4=320gms of petrol gone in one min during idle.
I was shocked to hear that, may be it is true, my commuting distance is just around 3kms one way, but it is always during b2b traffic, so during that time, I don't usually switch off the engine. This might be also the problem for low mileage. Once I get my bike back, I need to swtich off everytime and see whether the mileage improves.Past & Current Bikes :

yeah its possible .... if your commute is full of idle situations then mileage will be less.. sadly...Originally posted by jamesrocky View PostToday gave my bike to service center to check for few issues like mileage, the right front fork oil started leaking, luckily they said the oil seal will be covered under warranty. re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
I got my bike about 15 days back and have loved riding it every time I take it out..though itching to get the run in done so that can start exploring the real potential of the bike.
I am facing one issue though. The fuel indicator seems to be working in an absurd manner. When the bike is cold or I start it in the morning, that's when the fuel indicator (I think) shows the correct amount. Let's say, when I start it in the morning it shows 2 bars and as the temp goes up, the bars go on increasing till it shows full and then it stays there while I am riding it (even if I ride for 100 kms or so)..n let's say I give it a rest of 1-2 hours, but cause it's still warm when I start it again it still shows full...so I have realised that the correct fuel is shown to me the first time in the day when I turn on the bike...!!
This is turning out to be a problem for me specially when I go on long rides, cause I hear no idea of how much fuel do I really have..
Anyone else face a similar issue and what should be the course of action..??
