      Hi Guys,

My first post on this thread and let me tell you that going through the 116 pages of posts here, I must say that I have got more information on the benelli 600i than I could have hoped for. I absolutely love the bike and can't wait to own one. Having said that since benelli has announced and showcased the abs variant, wanted to check if anyone has any clue of when it will be up for sale...the showroom folks of course wouldn't divulge the info, as that would affect their current sales. Cause, really if it's just a few months from now I might as well wait.

Thanks a ton for the info. May aint that far and that would also probably mean that they would start taking the bookings sometime in April considering that they anyways take 20 days to deliver the bike post taking the full payment.

Though I am surprised that when I checked with the Showroom just sometime back they said, ABS variant will come in August or at the end of the year, as per the info provided by DSK.

Could be true, not denying it, though most showrooms don't know what's happening around as well

True.. ABS will be available as an option for all the existing bikes, once it is released in the market at a price range of close to Rs 30K; though from what I know, fitting in an ABS is a very complex task and will require pretty much opening up of the entire electrical and most of the mechanical parts of the braking system.... While it will still be done by the Benelli Authorized Service centers, a bike built on an assembly line would always be better in finishing as compared to the one, re-done at the service center... just an apprehension.... just saying..

Getting the kit is one thing, fitting it is a different story

The showroom guys have no clue about it.

It depends on the type of abs, this will also require the instrument cluster to be changed most likely boosting the cost specially if its a switchable abs.

Agree... there are just too many unknowns at this point and time, about the cost and the complexity of installing the kit on a current bike; so obviously will make sense to get the factory fitted ABS variant... the problem is that once you decide on what you want to buy and arrange the finances; every single day seems like eternity, which is what is happening in my case.... If only DSK came out with a timeline of when the ABS variant will be up for sale.... Not sure why they would want to delay it, now that I believe that the testing etc has been done..its been showcased at the Auto Expo and the IBW..... Just come out with it already....... jeez

FYI - Bangalore DSK Benelli sold 500 bikes and organizing a ride this Sunday to celebrate it.

Guys in Bangalore - who all planning to join?

500 is a big number . Sounds like, Benelli is having good time.

A few days ago, I had words with the someone from dealership distributor/manager for North India Benelli, and he was pretty confident with his words that we won't have ABS version anytime sooner than October-16.

Meanwhile, I got my bike delivered 10 days ago. My experience was pretty good till now.

                              Hi,
Anybody has got the hard throttle issue and if so have you found out any solution for that. Please share.
I am fed up with hard throttle especially when going for long rides.
