outwordly maniac,
i also conceded that it was possible that I had misinterpreted the way you meant to say what you said. i was genuinely thrown off by the way you had worded it. i did say i am giving you the benefit of the doubt after i read your second post.
so, if i have indeed misinterpreted, which it appears to be, i too apologize for the rudeness in my reply. i again repeat, i was thrown off by the tone of your post.
so lets forget the issue, and peace hereon.
and also...i don't have anything negative in my mind for you. i didn't even know you buddy. so no reason for me to be negative about you.

She had three babies named Nat, Pat, and Tat.
She said it was fun in the breeding,
But found it was hell in the feeding
When she saw there was no tit for Tat.

I felt similar stuff 2-3 times with my bike.. and u described it correctly.. it starts giving jerks as if its coming in reserve mode.. looks like fuel supply had some blockage in it.. have to go to SC this weekend for this problem..Originally posted by Augustine09 View PostAfter 10 minutes, i felt a jerk in the engine everytime i cross 4.5K mark. Also i travelled around 40 - 50 Kms (not continuously) that day still having that problem. today morning i did not feel that. I just have a doubt if that jerk is a problem because i vroomed a cold engine.
The jerk was something like there was fuel supply consistently and no fuel for a second( I exactly dont know how to term it). similar to what would happen if the bike needs to be switched to the reserve fuel. Any toughts ?
i have a problem of rough engine too.. tht may be an end result of improper fuel supply too.. wat say seniors??
I like to meditate a lot.. On my BIKE!

How many KMs should a bike be run for the engine to heat up? 5/10/? After how many kms can we open up the throttle? well... actually turning on the engine and keeping it @ 1-1.5 rpm for 2 mins... get your engine a good warm-up...Originally posted by animeher View PostHow many KMs should a bike be run for the engine to heat up? 5/10/? its suggested this to be done in winters everytime before you take your bike out for a spin...

Do follow the user manual for breaking-in/running-in instructions and do not park your bike in direct sunlight for long time. If you do, you need to check your tire pressure very frequently.
67.1K on-road in Hyderabad??? Which dealer?
Even I bought an orange one at IBays, Somajiguda for 69K more than three months back (Feb. 23 to be precise).
By the way, where do you stay in Hyd?Suzuki GS150R 2009

Literally Showroom is a showcase for all the models the dealer deals with.Originally posted by Shadowfax View Postwhats the difference betn showroom and dealer ?
Dealer is a person who markets or sells products of companies.
I think what animeher was trying to say is that, The company decides the showroom price which excludes the road tax, insurance, registration, etc. Probably the dealer could quote a diff say higher price for his profit. So probably he meant that the showroom price and price quoted by the dealer is different. Is that so animeher ??

Well I read a few pages earlier that 30 seconds idling is enough. Probably 2 mins will not be a problem.Originally posted by calvin View Postwell... actually turning on the engine and keeping it @ 1-1.5 rpm for 2 mins... get your engine a good warm-up...

start the engine and keep it in idle for one minute (this time is for oil circulation to the engine head) then ride the bike not crossing 10% of full throttle position till about 5kms (Engine oil is highly viscous at low temperature so it should be heated well to flow in critical areas e.g. inbetween valve and valve guide, journal bearings etc) and for first 5kms dont cross 4k rpm... then vrooooooommmOriginally posted by animeher View PostHow many KMs should a bike be run for the engine to heat up? 5/10/?
