i have a problem of rough engine too.. tht may be an end result of improper fuel supply too.. wat say seniors??
Hey are you still having that problem ? Even today morning I crossed 4.5K mark but did not have that problem.
I dont have any complaints about rough engine. Do you feel that the engine is rough all the time or during some particular period ?

People who have experience on this please give some thoughts on this.

Oops ! My office is somewhere little less that 5Kms form my home. From monday to friday, I just travel to and fro. Some evenings if i find time i go out a little further. In this case, every day should I not cross 4K rpm ??? Is there any other alternative like idling for a little Xtra time like 2 mins in the prev posts...???

I think what animeher was trying to say is that, The company decides the showroom price which excludes the road tax, insurance, registration, etc. Probably the dealer could quote a diff say higher price for his profit. So probably he meant that the showroom price and price quoted by the dealer is different. Is that so animeher ??
Bit like that. I have noticed that the showroom prices tend to be on bit higher side than those quoted by shop dealers, ie. the ones who do not stock any bike, but order and deliver it as per requirement. This was the case when I bought my bike, as well as quite a many times when other friends bought theirs.

Sorry... keeping in idle for long time will not help in heating the oil, actually its for aggressive riders, that warm up time is proportional to the maximum speed at which u ride.

that 5 min warm up time is meant for riding in region of 90-100kmph. So u can reduce it to 2 km if u drive in city... moving in congested traffic enhances warm up

          • Bike updates

Its 5th day of my bike, and here are the updates

breaks are working fine now... engine and gear shift is much more smoother... engine feels little bit rough around 3.5k to 4k rpm... but getting lesser and lesser day by day.

Getting attention of the crowd wherever I go... everyone says "sir bike mast hai... and then comes the question "kounsi hai?"... then i say SUZUKI then people realize and recalls suzuki's 150cc bike launched.

But one thing for sure... this bike is a perfect commuter, cant compare this bike with sport kinda bikes like apache, pulsar or FZ

                  Ahh so,

                  showroom = display and sell
dealer = display, sell, servicing and spares

                  Am I right ?

                          • Hi guys.... I have decided to give a nice wash for my bike this weekend... I need some tips

1)Tell me about the parts where i should not allow water to get in
                            2) Is it okay to remove the seat and flush the interiors?
                            3) will water affect the battery and the electricals? (especially the digi speedo and LED tail lamps)
                            4)Can i use a shampoo?

                            Even additional tips are welcome

1 - Wash ur vehicle in fresh morning (Engine will be cool and more over the Vehicle will be cool - not much dust will stick in morning times)
Avoid watering on Speedo consoles - electricals

2 - You can remove the seat and just wipe it away with a Wet Cloth - but do not flush it inside - the engine breathhole opening under the seat will get water blocked and will cause problems for your Engine

3 - do not spray water with a high air pressure pump - just wipe using a soft clith dipped in a shampoo - do not open up the side panels - while watering - since the battery is protected and all the wire ends will be protected in modern age Bikes -- you do not need to worry on this case

4 - Do not use detergents - hairshampoos - body shampoos ....get the specially manufactured ones ---- Im using AMWAY carwash shampoo for my babe.......end up with a good shine Wax.......

                              • Test drive

Hi, Being new here, I have been shadowing this thread for quite some time.

I test drove GS150R today and was completely bowled over. Either the bike seemed superb or because I haven't driven a bike for around 2 years.

                                A few things I noted:
                                a) There were some vibrations at around 4k rpm, similar to what the OT had mentioned.
                                b) Since I am a 6'1" tall, I sat well on the bike. But the front seat seemed a bit too thin and hence uncomfortable. I had to keep adjusting myself to make it "crotch friendly" . Plus the bike felt a bit tall, which in a way I welcome.
                                c) On the test bike, the speedo was not working and hence even though I pushed it on highway I didnt know how fast I was going. However, in fifth gear, at "high speed" I felt a bit scared while cornering a curve. Maybe because of the weight of the bike it felt as it was taking eternity to eat the curve.
                                d) The orange color looked stellar , however it is a bit too gaudy for my taste. And the black was not so impressive. Grey was not on display and blue/green looked dirty . No other color choice.
                                e) Can the shocks be adjusted, coz I felt it rough on bad roads?

Couple of things that worry me about GS150R:
                                a) The showroom was deserted, except for the sales people. And till date I have seen only one GS150R on road. Are people buying this bike? How old is this bike? In the sense when was it introduced? The showroom girl was not keen to make a sale. Felt like she has seen a lot of people take a test ride but not buy it. How many free service does the company offer?
                                b) What would be the resale value if the bike is not popular? Any chance Suzuki may discontinue the bike, which would cause spares problem?
                                c) Can this bike be serviced by a normal mechanic or does it have technologically advanced gadgetry which requires it to be serviced by a specialist?

The bike costs Rs.67,165/- OTR Pune.

Tomorrow I plan to check out Uni.

                                Any suggestions/opinions/advice?

                                TIA,
                                Dhanesh
