No chill out, my sentiments are not hurt so easily.....else I wouldnt have enjoyed the heavy technical disscuession we had which you can find some where in the middle of this thread.......(made the thread boaring for most of the people)...Originally posted by outworldly maniac View Post

You mean buying a separate lamp for HID? But even that lamp is usual only, not projector type. So won't the effective output be similarly scattered as usual headlight HID?Originally posted by imjoshee View PostInstead buy an aftermarket lamps & convert it to an HID.Else you can install Hella lamps which come with a H3 55w bulb.

Yup - you have a certain luminance standard - which is why if you were to put a regular bulb inside Skoda's reflectors, you'd get less light - so you have limited blinding of oncoming traffic.
With an additional H3 that's wisely mounted - you can choose to minimize inconvenience by keeping the beam focused much downwardshttp://www.bikenomads.com/wiki/index.php/Leh - All you ever need to know about getting Leh'd.

Hey Sam i dont think the discussions we had in the middle of this thread are boring. I really took time reading the technical pros and cons of this bike before deciding on this one. I agree it may be borin for some, but there are silent readers like me who are very much benefited. Other wise I would'nt have become a member in this group. This is my perception and I have given my opinion.
BTW I went to the showroom. My bike was standing there just arrived from the godown. It is going for registration today and will be ready this evening. I was not very much satisfied with the service those guys are offerring. Some one rightly said Suzuki ought to improve their service and marketing.

Chain Noise Issue Resolved !!!
Guys, went to the Suzuki SC today morning to address the Chain Noise Issue.
The Mechanic worked on it for about 30 minutes and then we went for a Test Ride Double Seat and Voila, No More Chain Noise.
It turned out to be a petty Issue than what i had imagined. When asked what was the Problem, he told that the Chain was rubbing with the Chain Compartment or Chain Cover as the Cover was a bit tilted. He just straightened it, that's it.
Dunno if he did any other setting, but the Bottom line is It's Fixed.
Came home riding solo, No Noise at all.
Will confirm it once i go to leave my Wifey to Office tomorrow morning, as the Noise was more when riding with a Pillion.
Thank you Guys for your concern on this Issue and for posting you views.
Appreciate it.

You are welcome! Just check once if the top&bottom cover are securely fastened into one another or not. You don't want it to separate when you go over a bump!Originally posted by abhi_gsr View PostGuys, went to the Suzuki SC today morning to address the Chain Noise Issue.

Yes there is a luminance standard for each & every bulb that we use.You can use Hella 450 which is smaller in size & will look good also.
I have clocked 2700km.My daily running is around 60-70km & I do a full tank everytime.I am getting an average of 61kmpl running at varaible speeds, max being 75-80kmph.Originally posted by akfara View PostSo far many of you finished ur run in period what mileage currently gives now pls post....? I am talking about the heavy discuession we had about Fuel mapping and about Throttle positioning sensor.......is that what you mean as well.....if yes then I'd say good atleast somebody read those pages.......the reason I was saying it as boaring was the thread page count was crawling at that point of time, when soon I realised, or I'd say 'was made' to realise that its getting boaring for most of the other GS members and thats when I shifted gears....:-)Originally posted by Augustine09 View PostHey Sam i dont think the discussions we had in the middle of this thread are boring. Congratts for you machine and post pics as well.....and do participate in the roll count....
I am at 3152KM, my daily run is 40Km with an avg speed of 65-70kmph max 100, I consider myself a pretty aggressive driver, with free use of throttle and I have not got milage below 51Kmpl which I think is awsome cnsidering the way I drive.....usually it is 53-54Originally posted by akfara View PostSo far many of you finished ur run in period what mileage currently gives now pls post....? Finally I got my Orange Baby. I really felt like riding a monster. My roomates said it looked like a raging bull. Some of my colleagues said the bike looks good. Actually i was nt for the looks of this bike, but since people liked it i thought wow this bike attracts many.
I rode around 35 kms yesterday evening itself. The butter smooth engine amazed me like anything. The discs was doing a fantastic job. The 3rd and 4th gear pick up was also good. Ride comfort was excellent. I thought the l high heeled gear shift would not be good but i did not feel it was too high.
The gear shift between 1st and 2nd was rough. I did not like it. Is there any problem with this. Any one faced this ?? As many said i could feel the virations at 3.5K mark. The head light brightness was not enough. The power mode button was not working when i pressed it but worked when the SC guy did. I dont know why. i need to check it.
As an overall package, I loved it. After the first service I'm planning to take it to my home town. Afer that I'll tell how this performed in the highway.
BTW here are a couple of pics.

The vibes were very mild and did not bother me much. Since everyone had the same feeling i just thought i'll have to say this. I have not driven the rtr so could not compare. Read from the reviews that vibes in RTR are too much.Originally posted by outworldly maniac View Post

The Pics were taken in a hurry with my VGA mobile cam just to upload it here, and hence the quality. The SC guy offered me a tank cover free of cost. Actually i did not like it but I would not avoid anything coming free. Thought of planning to remove after 1st service so it looks even more gorgeous. Unlike yesterday today when i drove it to my office, the gear shift seemed to be OK. I'll update about it some time later.Originally posted by outworldly maniac View Postthe bike actually looks sexy
