quite true. noticed the bikes reluctance in down shifting quickly. But then the bike that i rode was only 25kms old.

also, the GS headlight is bad. the only grouse i could find with bike. the headlight was quite poor and at idle it is very low.

I have faced the problem of downshifting not being so smooth as up shifting. But gear changes with a little hard sound. Only once i faced the problem of gear indicator going blank. That was when i did not press the gear lever completely; but otherwise it is fine. In traffic signals this sounds to be like a problem. Any thoughts?

The bike is new...it takes some time for the gearbox to set itself. Press the clutch fully while changing gears&leave a bit slowly. Don't downshift rapidly, rather downshift gradually as the speed decreases.

i found the downshifting a little rough and it gives a clunk noise when downshifting at high speeds..
at traffic signals or in high traffic, i have faced the gear indicator going blank and after giving some throttle it starts showing the gear.. i dint think its bike's problem, i thought its a flaw in my riding

however, the truth is we cant have a completely perfect package in a single bike.. people say unicorn is this, unicorn is that.. but i have seen a lot of people who find flaws in it too.. so in my opinion, i can live with those small issues like downshifting roughness and blank gear indicator.

@sarvajit da - where is R15?? have u bought a new commuter u mentioned u were planning?

No man...I'm addicted to the R15 for now...Can't imagine selling it. My old Fiero F2 (in the pic) is enough to take my Mom around for errand shopping. Will rethink on this in case the Ninja is launched!

Initially i faced this problem... especially in traffic, like gears wont change in stand still, gear indicator becomes blank... but trust me guys this problem diminished gradually... after crossing 2500kms i didnt face this problem

... so dont worry, JUST ENJOY

Yup... the blank gear display has also happened to me but only for the 2nd gear... When the display is blank just release the clutch almost fully and then hold.... The display comes back with a thud sound from the engine

thts wat i am hearing for a long time... another month.. another month.. letsc when the wait gets over..

did u mention about the vibration prob in the first , second or any service for that matter???
got any stupid vague reply from the SC guys?
wud be good if zuki could come out with a solution to this,,,,,
