Few weeks back radiator started leaking, dont know how this happened. Had to wait for 2 weeks for the part to arrive.
Part Availability is concern since to ship a part from pune they took 2 weeks. As I gaze upon your beauty, I think to myself, "never have I seen an angel fly so low".

Did you change both the Sprocket and chain? Or just the chain?Originally posted by fusioncoast View Postwe have tried it on a Fellow riders bike who has done 7000kms and had a chain slip cos of wear other chains do not work.
That's what you call bullshit! When they have you under their hold for such things it's irritating.Mumbai SVC said it will void warranty did not get an explanation why

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Yup got the warranty. The Svc Guys were very helpful. The leak was on the back side of the radiator. The side facing the engine. After the issue i read your post about the same and thought of claiming the insurance but Svc Manager assured it can fixed in warranty so waited. Got the bike back last week.Originally posted by fusioncoast View Postwe have tried it on a Fellow riders bike who has done 7000kms and had a chain slip cos of wear other chains do not work.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hii guys...
I'm curious to know your experiences regarding engine braking on the TNT300. Do you guys use engine braking?? How often do you? And when?? By engine braking I don't just only mean leaving throttle but also downshifting a gear to achieve effective engine braking.
Coming from single cylinder motorcycles do you feel that a twin has more stronger and effective engine braking? Does anyone know how's the engine braking on other twins like Ninja/R3?
I use engine braking a lot on the TNT300 but mostly when there's not much traffic. In traffic when I'm mostly in 2nd gear and leave the throttle, the bike slows down a lot, without even downshifting. Just in 2nd gear. Sometimes the motorcycle comes to crawling speed in 2nd gear when I leave the throttle away. And I can see the guys behind me coming too close to my rear. Another example is when I'm approaching the big speed bumps in 2nd gear, I leave the throttle and bike slows down way too much than necessary. Too much engine braking or maybe I still haven't gotten used to it. Now I'm consciously trying to be a gear higher whenever possible.
Keen to know your thoughts.

I had the same question initially.
If I have understood correctly, when you leave the throttle, the bike slows down to an extent where you feel like the engine is dead. The only logical explanation that i got after reading forums and talking to fellow 300 owners and svc guys, both the cylinders are used or fired and when the throttle is switched off there is a sudden decrease in the fuel supply to the engine and hence you feel like the engine is dead.
If I have misunderstood your question, I am sorry. Its better to sweat than to bleed...

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Not sure about the tnt but I use engine braking all the time on my duke 200.. I just use my front to assist the braking process and I use my rear brakes only during emergency stops.. I suggest that you don't downshift while braking like that because that causes a lot of stress to the engine and as well as the chain and sprockets. I used to do the same thing but I am regretting why I downshifted like that.. Now I hear tappet noise from my bike. Please don't mind me barging in like this.. Was going through the post felt like sharing my experience.Originally posted by dhawz29 View PostHii guys...

Hey Shanky, engine doesn't stall. Bike just slows down. That's it.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View PostIf I have understood correctly, when you leave the throttle, the bike slows down to an extent where you feel like the engine is dead.
Hey paradoxr9019 - Everyone has their own riding style and it's interesting to know how you're using the brakes and engine braking. Thanks!Originally posted by paradoxr9019 View PostNot sure about the tnt but I use engine braking all the time on my duke 200.. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Like I told you.. I don't really use my brakes.. When I do, mostly it will be front in case emergency stops I use both the front and back in 70 to 30% aspect. The engine braking is considerably strong in the duke200. (Assuming you have ridden one yourself) cheersOriginally posted by dhawz29 View PostHey Shanky, engine doesn't stall. Bike just slows down.
