Hello Everyone. I also own a TNT 300 and recently got my 2nd service done.
They charged me a hefty amount of Rs. 8000 for a normal service (normal oil change and chain lube and cleaning). The Labour charge was 2400 (excluding Tax)
I would like to know if this amount is genuine?
The Service charge is the same all over the country?
Anyone from Delhi also Facing the same issue?
    Please Help

      Hey Gagan

Rs 2400 excluding tax is something unreal. Please confirm if the labor charges have gone up by any chance.

In Chennai, the labor charge excluding tax is Rs 1890.

Recent 2nd service bill from a fellow rider.

      Rs 2173 Labor
      Rs 575 Consumables

      Rs 2564 Engine Oil
      Rs 535 Oil Filter

      All including taxes.

suprising, what is meaning of free service if they are charging for labour. delhi dealer was telling me service charges rs4000/- including oil change. i have not purchased but went for enquiry . it is double.

        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Front mud guard is too small, rediator is not safe from mud etc, what are choices available to safe guard rediator. what fuel consumption on highway and in city condition.

          Hola guys,

Been a long time, haven't posted anything 'long' (lol). So here it is.
Lot of discussions were going in here after the change of rates in spare parts(for example brake pads) and service charges. Maybe this was due to 1% increase in service tax since last 2 months. Also the availability seems to be an issue, even in Pune SVC. That being said have some news. As I had purchased this bike last month on 11th already covered 1500 kms and first service is done a day before. The bike is super awesome and exceeded my expectations. The engine is refined, calm and smooth and has no glitches in it. Ride quality is too notch, perfect sitting stance and doesn't feel any stress at all. The hot air from the radiator is directed away from our body. In longer runs this bike can run endlessly for hours at 100+KMPH. I am attaching my first service bill in this post. Went for Motul 300V hence the higher costs.

          Breakdown (including taxes):

          Chain clean and lube: 352
          Engine oil (Motul 300V 4T 15W50): 3450
          Oil filter: 515
          Total: 4338
Labour charge of 2100 waived as this was the first service. But from next service onwards it will be added.

          So, 2100+4238=6,388INR
4th service being most expensive (9k)

You can go for mudflap extensions as suggested by binil before:-

          OR

Order this radiator grill from Aliexpress, which I did and fitted it on my bike:-

                    hey guys..

i noticed a few days back, the chain has started to develop some rust.. is that something that's normal in mumbai or should i have it looked at the service center because i've even had it lubed as well multiple times..

Will it be covered under the warranty?

In how many kms you lube the chain ? And rust can be removed by using cleaner and brush.

Humid places like Mumbai, Chennai lead to rust formation. Don't let water stay on any part of the bike after a wash. It applies for all vehicles in all parts of the world. Regardless of humidity. Water leaves spots. Wipe the bike dry. Else, use WD40 once in a while. Regular usage may loosen the rubber bonds in the chain links.
Just use a rag and wipe it dry.

                          Hi Everyone,

I have finally made up my mind to go ahead with benelli after silently following the forum over a year and trying to understand the service and maintenance costs involved. I have got mixed reviews from people. Before I book I would love to meet someone riding benelli in mumbai if possible. It will help me to take the final call. I stay at Mumbai Central and my office is at Andheri. I am taking the bike for my daily commute which would be approx 80kms a day. If friends from mumbai can buzz me on Nine Nine Three Zero Five Zero Six Two Two Six. I will be very happy to connect.

Thank you members for all the great reviews you all have given, it has helped a lot of people and I am one of them.

                          • First Long Haul - 5113 kms / 18 Days

                            Hi All,

Apologies for being off the grid for a while. I was riding out and got back to Bangalore after 18 days and 5113 kms.

                            Some details :

                            Route :
                            Bangalore > Mumbai > Surat > Bhuj > Kutch > Kalo Dungar > Ahmadabad > Pune > Wai > Mahabaleshwar > Prathapgad > Guaghar > Ganpatiphule > Ratnagiri > Mollem > Agonda > Honavara > Jog > Shimoga > Chikmagalur > Bangalore

                            Total Distance : 5113 Kms

Service Done in Pune at 20577kms.
                            • Around 50 kms before Surat - my rear brake disc over heated and cracked. Informed Pune SVC (Roshan), who was expecting me in Pune. Rode to Pune without using rear brakes. DSK replaced, in warranty, the rear disc along with my 20000 km Service.
                            • Total Cost : Rs. 5800/-

                            Fuel Efficiency :
                            • Best : 30.5kmpl

                            • Worst : 23.5kmpl

                            Load :
                            • Pillion

                            • 2 x 25L Aquapaq

                            • 1 x ViaTerra Magnetic Tank Bag

                            • 1 x ViaTerra Raptor Tail Bag

                            • 1 Tent - Quechua Arpenaz 2+

The bike performed well and is very stable with all this load, even at high speeds. The damping was very soft initially, so i adjusted the compression and damping as per the load. No issues after that. My pannier frames worked as expected, both my Aquapaqs were strapped on to the pannier frames. As I have always mentioned, the bike is excellent. Only the service and spare costs need to be given a thought.
