I use diesel or kerosene to clean. Spray it on or soak chain with a rug. Leave it for 10/15 mins and water wash it to sparkling clean.
Ride it for few kms to heat up the chain and lose the water. Lube it with your choice of chain lube. Leave for 30 mins atleast before use.

I use Tribocor SuperLube TC 205. This is a little messy and will spray on to your alloys, but lasts longer 800 - 1000kms depending on usage and riding conditions.

New variant : TC 212 Tribocor is available now. This does not splatter all over the place and is paraffin based. lasts longer as it is water resistant.

It's 3.72 in Bangalore as on today.
Thanks Binil and Mustang for the suggestion, will try to use your Technic next time while cleaning the chain

        Dear Fellow Benelli'ts,
Need your expert advice. I have found this sound coming from the engine when I open full throttle at low speeds... It's like a Tappet Kind sound! Goes as soon as I touch a little higher rpm or reach a higher speed, now is this normal or do i need to get it checked? This happens throughout the gears as in any gear if i Twist to say 50% throttle there is this tappet kind of sound!

Normally my acceleration inputs are very gradual but at times I just want to get ahead and that's when it happens... The bike still builds up regular speed no matter what the sound.

Secondly, I have found that when you change gears from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in quick succession there is not much impact on speed probably as the first 3 gear ratios are very closely stacked and even the 4th and 5th seem to be pretty closely stacked up. It's only in 6th which I find the gearing ratio probably taller still it can still potter around at a speed of 40Kms/hr in 6th!! My bike's done approx 2300kms and had its second service at 1956kms on 29th September, 2016. I've noticed that earlier Gear Shifts were very smooth but now find them a little hard as in they don't fall easily... Is this because I am changing gears too early at lower rpm? Is there a bare minimum rpm that you should up-shift, I normally up-shift at 3000-3500rpm is that too low for this bike? This being my first quarter litre bike need to probably unlearn and then learn biking again!! Till now I've used it almost daily in city for regular office commute, haven't had an opportunity yet to take her to the highways.

Your inputs would be highly appreciated.

It's perfectly normal buddy. We all faced this at some point. It's even been discussed earlier. Most mentioned it as a chain rattle. But, I believe we are all talking of the same sound.

Congrats on your bike. Ride Safe !!!

            Thanks Binil!
So hopefully nothing's wrong it's just my perception or getting accustomed to... But the gear change at 3500-4000rpm, is that also ok?!?

I'm still so in love with it that now my car is Idle and have to take the car out sometime in the week as don't want it lying around!

In my experience, my bike has also done about 2300 km but second service is still far, my gear shifts are hard at lower gears I.e. 1,2 and 3. . 4,5 and 6 are super smooth!! P.s. This is my shift pattern most of the time 1-2 around 4500 rpm, rest I'm either 10k rpm shift or between 6-7k rpm ( in the power band). . Depending in how I'm riding plus I live near highway so. . lol

Also I HATE PULLING MY BIKE FROM 45KMPH IN 6TH GEAR ! don't do it often I'd say.
Being on two wheels is being liberated. The vastness one feels being under the open sky. The whole feeling. . . cant be described.

              Ride safe, Ride long.

Had to get the 2nd Service done as it was more than 8 months old and they have a 4000Kms/4months service schedule, hence!

Bang on about harder shifts in 1, 2 and 3... and rest smooth! Glad to know I'm not the only one. Most of my lower gear shifts though are at 3500-4000rpm and same lower gears when I shift at higher rpm become smooth too hence the doubt on my gear change. And when I'm shifting at higher RPM's don't have time to look down as eyes on the road is far more important, in fact the only reason I glance down at the Tacho is when I find gear shifting is hard that's how I know the rpm when gear shifts are hard

Absolutely right on lugging the engine at low speeds in high gear... It just happened to me when I was discovering the capabilities of this bike definitely wont be a regular affair at all, Thanks!

Somewhere earlier in the thread there was mention on the heavy weight of the TNT300, I find it extremely nimble in the city and you forget how heavy the bike actually is! And yes superbly centrally balanced too...! When I don't want to get too carried away, I simply take my better half as pillion.... Trust me there is no better brake/ speed control and Welcome to the Real World kind of comments from behind! Best comment I get from her is "you're 40 now" to which my response is "Yes, only when I'm not the Bike." Though have always been a sensible and law-abiding rider from the start and that doesn't change! Have been using a helmet since my first ever bike and believe in it even more now! Ride fast but ride responsibly is what I follow....

Hello folks, after a long im back to XBhp, i need help, ill keep it simple.. my options are TNT300 or NINJA 300, i love ninja for its look, performance and its also comfortable, i love TNT 300 for its awesome inline 2 feel, comfortable position, and offcourse it looks nice with the dual color accent and wider looks, i do daily commute around 60kms per day in bangalore traffic, from Ecity to Whitefield, so roughly 1200kms - 1500 kms per month, and tour once in a month.. so im worried about the service intervals and the charges, seems both bike are expensive when it comes to servicing, is it compulsary to get it serviced at 3000kms ?? and how about the quality, since its beeen a year, i just want to hear about the servicing quality and bike quality.. ninja is 4.2lakhs in bangalore, and 3.7 lakhs for TNT 300.. ive already paid 10k to benelli showroom, my mind it getting tilted between ninja 300 green and benelli 300 white... ive TD'ed both vehicle, i like both.. thats the problem. lol

Congrats for Booking the TNT 300, see Ninja 300 is a bike which will attract people by its looks but it doesn't sound like an big bike or some may say superbike. Where as TNT 300 is an form of art it looks Italian, expensive and oh my god it sounds better than Ninja 650. Ninja 300 is definitely a head turner as we Indians are crazy about faired bike, but TNT 300 sounds like an inline 4 at higher revs which will make u happy every time you ride the bike and people often believe TNT 300 is a higher capacity bike, even Duke 390 owners think so. If you want higher top speed and outright performance you can check the R3 also it's the best 300 CC segment bike in India right now but it's hard to differentiate between R15 and R 3 for normal guys.I can't comment anything on other bikes service interval and cost but I also think service cost of TNT 300 is on the higher side for a 300cc bike.

Don't just go by its sound or looks, see the practicality. Being an ex-Benelli owner, I know its cons more. Service intervals are quite short and expensive too. If you are into premium biking, you must be ready to spend. Compared to the service/maintenance costs, R3, N300 has a n upper hand over TNT.

If its just plain looks you are bothered about, N300 ticks of the chart for me. Kwackers are well refined machine and reliable too. I hope you did see the TNT300 ownership threads. Talk to owners , in person or over phone and get their honest feedback.
