not a problem at all. the front is available as the mrf revz fc1 , same as the one on the duke 200/250. and one of the best front tires around.
the probable reason why you don't have the 150 and 110 in the masseter series is because it is already available under the revz (radial) category with a similar soft compound/rounded profile.
for those on a budget and want a sticky pair of tires, get the revz fc1 at the front and masseter at the rear. probably the stickiest options from a desi brand, and totally value for money.

Does rear masseter tire (cross ply) and front revz fc1 (radial) affect the handling?

i dont think it should be a problem.
i've ridden other bikes (cbr, dukes) with a similar combo (i.e. front revz fc1 , rear non radial michelin/ceats) and there is no difference in handling.

I was asking this because initially when I installed front michelin and rear MRF stock, bike was pulling strongly in turns both sides.

Those vibes are not related to radiator, check fairing bolts.

June is up. No Signs of R3. The wait is getting to start painful. O Yamaha drop the bomb soon.

Any insights guys ? Does anybody know when is R3 coming back to India ? Will it come with ABS this time ?

I went for FZ250 TD to near by showroom in Chennai, at that time did an enquiry. As per them R3 will be launched in new colors but not sure on ABS [emoji17]

Even I am waiting for new R3, Yamaha is not disclosing when it will be launched, one dealer in B'lore said August!
ABS could be available as an option.

Have a query for R3 owners:

How is the riding position? Is it aggressive like R15 or upright?
Would it be suitable for City commute of 60 kms daily?

It's not aggressive like R15, I had R15 V2.0, it's far more relaxed. I am using it daily in city traffic never had any issues.

If you've ridden an Ninja - pretty much same.. more relaxed than the R15.. slightly (10%-15%) aggressive.. which is good in distributing the body weight so that your back is good to go..

live long.. live happy.. that's the best revenge that can be served to the people who hate you..

I commute around 70kms daily..5 days a week...which is like..between 2.5 to 3 hours bike time..and I am pretty comfortable...no complaints..btw I am fat...so I have some flesh on my back side.....due to which my sitting position is a bit forward...my friend who is skinny has to sit backward and has to bend to reach the handle bars..

IMO, if you are not used to these kind of bikes then it will take time to get used to it..nothing that you won't adapt to...

The longer wheel base, the larger turning radius and the weight(relatively) are bigger issues ....not the sitting position.

                              regards,

Thanks Chandan, Ajay & Jawed for the info.
Good to know R3 has a relaxed riding position, suitable for city commutes.
