Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Thanks. OTR price of R3 here at Raipur is 3.74L whereas ninja price is 4.15L. Difference is ninja has got slipper clutch and R3 has got little (marginal) more power.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View Post

Disc plate or disc pads ? If disc pads then front disc pads costs ₹3200/- and rear costs ₹800/-.Originally posted by Andy_kristine View PostHas anyone here changed the front disc plate or know how much it costs? And is there any websites to check R3's spare part's pricein India? Just like we have Indiaspares.in for the R15.

Anyone using body covers for R3?
Can you suggest good body cover, which would have mirror pockets, buckle belt and would fit well?

Came across it, not sure how good it is. Have doubts if it is custom built to fit R3 or generic one.Last edited by Satyajit Mohanta; 10-25-2016, 05:47 PM.

Just get the biggest one that you can find.
Mine covers just the portion above half the front fairing and at the back reaches the tip of the swing arm.
From the back no one can tell that its an R3.
From the side, looks like an r15.
I paid 250 for mine.Hero Honda Splendor (June 2001- Present)

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Apologies if this is noob question sir, but why is there so much price difference between the front and rear pads?Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostDisc plate or disc pads ? If disc pads then front disc pads costs ₹3200/- and rear costs ₹800/-.
The ones in my R15V2 costs 830 for rear and 950 for the front.
Is there any difference in make or material for front and rear Brake pads for R3??I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Not a noob question at all, pads are not manufactured locally in india but are imported from indonesia. That's the reason for high costs.Originally posted by Ankey View PostApologies if this is noob question sir, but why is there so much price difference between the front and rear pads?

These disc pads have life of 18-20k kms after 10k kms braking is as good as new bike. So paying that price for brake pads are justified.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Sorry for going a little off topic here. I have booked the bike and will take delivery next week. Has anyone here upgraded to Diablo Rosso II? I am planning to change them at showroom itself but finding a hard time in getting rosso II in stock size here in Pune. It will be great if anyone can share any information.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
In addition to what Chandan said, I have not yet changed my R3's brake pads even after 31.5K kms. And it brakes still like charm. So 3260 INR, to be precise, is something I'll be happy to pay every 30-35K kms for front brake pads.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostNot a noob question at all, pads are not manufactured locally in india but are imported from indonesia. Thanks, i was looking for something like it.Originally posted by pkhammu2005 View PostAm using R15 bodycover for my R3, it fits perfectly & can b tied at the bottom, cost 450.
Got the cover from yamaha showroom, it costs Rs 560 in bhubaneswar.
Fitting well to R3, it's a genuine yamaha accessory.
Big bro(R3) in younger brother(R15)'s cover.
