Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Here ankit mishra has akra gp slipon and many others have also upgraded to akra gp and carbon exhaust in R3 owners group. Two of them have akra full system of carbon and gp. But you also need fuel controller for full system for long engine life.Originally posted by Sunil Shrivastav View PostMay I know who and which one? Any recommendations?

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
After the long wait, I got my R3 finally. Yet to get the registration number.
I was amazed by the way it can be manured through the heavy Bangalore traffic and it got a good low-end torque too. Still to take it out on the highways. Mirrors are also pretty good compared to the pathetic ones in 200NS.Ooty solo trip | Kodaikanal (3 days) | Bekal-Kannur-Ooty | Valparai-Munnar

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Does the sound of the akrapovic gp slipon justify its 22k pricetag considering its just a slipon? I have yet to hear the r3 in person with the akra slipon or any other exhaust , last time i took off my exhaust it didnt sound too different from the stock, just a tad bassy, nobody here has done anything to their r3s , so would like to get some feedback from people who have heard it in person, and how much does a fuel commander cost?Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostHere ankit mishra has akra gp slipon and many others have also upgraded to akra gp and carbon exhaust in R3 owners group. Akra gp slipon isn't too loud but has bassier note. 22k price tag yes it justifies because of it's light weight and not too loud feature.Originally posted by bivaash dewan View PostDoes the sound of the akrapovic gp slipon justify its 22k pricetag considering its just a slipon? For fuel system you need power commander which is available at performance racing store which is priced at around ₹34,000/-.

Whoa then a full system exhaust along with a power commander is going to cost upwards of 60k, im just going to pretend i wasn't here lolOriginally posted by Chandan92 View PostAkra gp slipon isn't too loud but has bassier note. 22k price tag yes it justifies because of it's light weight and not too loud feature.

I have also heard that the bike is louder and bassier with the gp slipon than with the factory slipon removed, is it true?

Full system with fuel commander will set you back by 80-85k and with akra gp slipon bike is not too loud but more bassier.Originally posted by bivaash dewan View PostWhoa then a full system exhaust along with a power commander is going to cost upwards of 60k, im just going to pretend i wasn't here lol

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I had bought a paddock stand a couple of days back,( not the universal one but the one you put directly under the swingarm) and i noticed that the bike doesn't stand completely straight, it tilts towards the right side , i then thought that the problem was with the paddock stand but when i took my bike for service, the service centre put the bike on a universal paddock stand and there too it was leaning towards the right, i asked the mechanic and he said all r3s tilt toward the right in a paddock stand, is it normal or can there be any problem with the bike or padock?

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
This is completely normal as the R3 swing arm is asymmetrical. There will be a slight tilt towards the right if you use paddock stand without spools.Originally posted by bivaash dewan View PostI had bought a paddock stand a couple of days back,( not the universal one but the one you put directly under the swingarm) and i noticed that the bike doesn't stand completely straight, it tilts towards the right side , i then thought that the problem was with the paddock stand but when i took my bike for service, the service centre put the bike on a universal paddock stand and there too it was leaning towards the right, i asked the mechanic and he said all r3s tilt toward the right in a paddock stand, is it normal or can there be any problem with the bike or padock?
Work around for this is to put the stand at the area behind the wheel nut. But the bike will not be secure on stand and will be difficult to use it for anything other than easy tasks like chin clean, chain lubing etc.

I tried removing it, but the bolts are too tight. Will ask SVC to loosen it a bit when I go to get number plates.Originally posted by Gollum View PostCongrats, now get rid of that ugly thing on the left side of the rear wheel
Paddock stand mishap
I have ordered paddock stand from "G.A Engineering Auto Accessories" FB page. This one doesn't require bobbins and fits directly on the swing-arm.Ooty solo trip | Kodaikanal (3 days) | Bekal-Kannur-Ooty | Valparai-Munnar
