Yea yea. regret not talking, so you bought the MT, and guess what, I was about to post here asking if it's anyone from here
I was on a timeline and had to actually struggle with their service front; shitty I would say. Besides, I didn't want to barge into the the celebrity zone.

Beautiful bike, and congrats once again. Join the chapter for the December ride now, will ya! There's another R3 in the troupe I guess.

Installed Akrapovic slipon exhaust last week & must say it added new character to the bike. The note is quite bassy & never too loud to irritate. Rider can hear it on low revs but not on high speeds due to wind. Overall happy that its neither too loud nor mild. Cost 22k.

Pictures please. Since its a slip on , i hope no PCV required. Right? By watching videos on youtube, i didn't feel any difference between stock and akrapovic. What do you feel?

@pkkhammu2005 you are kiran and joined us for the ride to sher-e-punjab on sunday right ?
chetan6686 this is the slip on, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pceQFSFghcA no other mods to pcv or anything required.

btw, i rode Sarvajit 's r3 for a good 40km on highway and a bit of bad roads..
loved the smoothness and the linear pull (coming from the hurried/perky nature of ktm's)..
quiet and you hardly hear anything (while riding and as well as a rider on a r3 overtakes you) -- the ninja 300 is a little more louder
comfort wise - felt good on the butt , riding position and no strain on wrist
brakes - again nothing to complain, did their job. has a more progressive feel which i liked (especially the rear) compared to the snappy ktm that i have now got used to.
there was a bit of windblast beyond 110kmph that hits the top of the helmet or the chin area depending on your height or crouch.. you could crouch further to overcome this. I anyway do not personally ride consistently beyond 110 kmph.
my wrist hit the tank on turning the handle bar to full lock (e.g. taking u turns)
only wished that the front forks were beefier which would have made the front end more rock solid overall and during braking.
heat ? - what heat ? (ktm folks would find it amusing if someone said it felt hot on the r3). radiator fan does come on and is much much quieter compared to a ktm

a good twin for munching miles without burning a hole thru your pocket maintenance costs (read n300), of course 3.75L isn't 'cheap' but that's the price you pay for a reliable 300cc faired twin in today's market.
would i take it out in the city as a everyday ride -- yup (maybe not as often if i had another ride that is primarily used for short trips inside citY)
if i had 4 lakhs and was looking for a twin, would i get the n300 or the r3 ? - R3!

thanks Sarvajit for letting me ride it .. you can ride my 600 if i ever save up and get one someday before you do!

Yes sid i joined you all last sunday on nagpur highway.
however, only Sarvajit,Hima & Vikas could hear the exhaust up close as others had moved on by that time.
My verdict-there is significant improvement in the sound, pls dont go by the videos as it doesn't capture the sound accurately & there is lot of bass in the sound. One has to hear it in person before judging, casually?

That looks so so neat!! One doubt, did it increase any vibrations on your right side foot peg or anywhere else?

Hey guys, which service center would you guys suggest in Bangalore to get the bike serviced, all that i am aware of is Pacer Yamaha in Hebbal and Orion in Koramangala.

Cheers

Hey guys, i just got my bike delivered on Nov 26th! Must say i am really impressed with it. I had managed to study most of the other 300s in the segment and had to go with this since this bike is one of the best for our conditions and also, general maintenance is easier(read: cheaper too). The bike is quite loud since after 5k rpm: it begins sounding sbk'ish . Really tractable engine. Pity the flooding in my city. It now sits covered.

A pic i took after a night's small spin.

There is Vinayak yamaha, Domlur . They also service the R3 as i bought my R3 from them. Dont know how good they are though.

The exhaust's angle makes me think, will rain water fall directly into this exhaust, while riding in rain

Now now doesn't that look awesome!

How many kms did you cover before installing this? Will this meddle with the warranty? Is the sound and increase in power(if any) worth the 22k? I was looking to get this from Horizon Moto Hyderabad. Got my Puig R12 sliders from there too. As of now my pocket's pretty light so maybe after a few months I will think of this.

I guess you can get at Let's Gear Up, HSR Layout 27th main.. Price may be around 9.5K INR.. Not sure of the price though..
