    Congrats dude!!

Did you buy her from Factory Yamaha showroom, Wakdewadi??
Did they offer you a test ride before buying the bike?
I went there last month, but they didn't have any bike for test ride, but had bikes available for delivery.
And last but not least, where are the farking pictures!!!

Thanks bro! I bought it from Monarch Yamaha Tilak Road. Pretty lazy and uninterested sales team. I was expecting better since this place is listed under the 'superbike dealers' section on the Yamaha India website.

The factory shop has gone to some dealer now I think. It is no longer a Yamaha owned thing. Even the name has changed as per one friend. I did not visit there for R3 as Tilak road is nearer to my place.

No test rides were offered. They promised to arrange one after I had paid the booking amount. It was a customer bike/other dealer bike that they gave me to ride. The sales guy sat on the pillion and told me to take a test ride. I brought it back after just a couple of meters. Was freaking paranoid about this behavior and worried if they would do this to my bike after PDI, so got the delivery the very same day.

I could reach the showroom only after dark. Told the folks to get the bike to a well lighted area but as I said, pretty lazy and clueless sales guy didn't bother. After some lame excuses by them I told them to just shut up and click on my phone camera with the flash on. Picture quality is bad so I will upload good pictures once I click them myself with a good camera.

        Attn: Bangalore bikers.

        Hey guys,

Planning a short breakfast ride to Adigas or a early morning ride to BR hills, Mysore. Let me know if anyone would like to join from here.

I cant seem to add any mileage to my bike due to the poor weather conditions, hopefully this weekend is cheerier!

Start time approx between 5-6AM Sunday Morning.
        Regardless, Life shall go on.

I have been keenly following this thread from the beginning... It has become a regular task for me to log in and check this thread almost 3-5 times a day.. Am eager to upgrade my ride to a Yamaha R3 from the R15v2 I am riding at the moment..

I want to know from the owners who have serviced their brand new R3 bikes.. have you thought about changing the oil to Motul 300v or similar other full synth oils? As I found from this post that the oil Yamalube offers.. the full synth one is way too cheaper than 300v and all.. Do you guys change/plan to change to Motul or Shell etc. or stick to the Yamalube Full synth only?

Overdrive's Race Track comparison of Yamaha YZF R3,Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM RC 390 is out.
Track Test: YZF-R3 Vs RC 390 Vs Ninja 300

The article says Yamaha R3 is best in build quality and with an appropriate tyre change , can match RC in terms of lap timings.

Even with the MRFs it is just 1 sec something behind the RC390

Factory shop is not there anymore, its Viraaj Yamaha now. They have showroom in Kharadi as well.
I bought the bike from there and done with 1st service

I would suggest to buy from Monarch(at Tilak road) or from Kamla Yamaha( MG road and Chinchwad)

Kamla Yamaha M.G road didn't have R3 the last time I checked. Not sure about the Chinchwad showroom.

Ok, now I'm seriously considering the R3 after looking at all the after market parts available and all the possibilities. The only thing is Yamaha mentioned they might bring the ABS version later next year.
So should I wait till then or just get it now and figure out to retro fit it later once available.

Yes the ABS version is expected. Expect another ~30k for ABS. If you can adjust that in your budget then nothing like it. If not, the current braking duties seem sufficient. Also 2 new colors and graphic schemes are there in the 2016 models. Not sure if they will come to India also, but I am betting on it. It's Yamaha and they are quite 'colorful' here in India.

Getting rid of the ugly ass rear fender would be job number 1 if I do finalize on the bike...My god that looks ugly!!!

                          Guys,
Anybody knows which Yamaha Showroom in Bangalore gives a test ride of the R3 ? I tried calling up at least 3-4 places and they do not offer any test rides, and when asked the reason , they just won't say anything. Pretty bad approach from the service center personnels.
                          Disappointing.

                          Cheers

Is it the same one as which people say are the Indiranagar place. Called them up and they said only display bike is there, no test ride.

The reason being Yamaha has not loaned any test bikes to the dealers it seems. They 'll not acknowledge on phone for TD. Go to the showroom directly.

Try vinayaka in domlur, Bangalore wheels in rajaji nagar or pacer in hebbal.
