Arnab, How about high speed stability? Is the bike planted or does it wobble? For me high speed is 120kmph max

Correct. Even the manual says to fill normal petrol only.

The cost for r3 is 4400 . The package includes Bike Degreasing, Cleaning and Protection

              Froth Wash

Claying and removing any imperfection in the paint surface

              Swirl Removal if any

              Double Layer Ceramic Coating

              Plastic Trim Coating

Tyre Sealant to avoid cracking. They have different coating for gloss and matte surfaces. Also the coatings are extremely hydrophobic. You can see the finished r3 pics on their website.

They give 1 year warranty on the coating. Its a permanent coating. It protects the paint from fading. Its not scratch proof, but its scratch resistant

Friends i was just browsing through bikewale and i saw R3 price drop !! on closer look,it seems bikewale is doing "minus insurance". Any idea why? is insurance free (some offer may be)?

Update: As a matter of fact all Yamaha motorcycles in Bangalore are been shown with "minus insurance" on bikewale.Click image for larger version

For that matter, even R15 won't wobble at 120. R3 goes past 180 and is much heavier and planted. I have done 135-145 many a time without realizing it.

Thanks Sarvajit.Exactly what I was looking for.For me,max 120kmph is more than enough.Sarvajit, if you by any chance do pillion riding occasionally, can you please tell me does R3 have enough juice to feel comfortable. Thanks again in advance.

Juice is more than enough with pillion.
Rather let me put it this way, you will not feel a pillion is seated.
In fact, you will need to warn the pillion to hold on to you before you accelerate hard, at any speed. Since there are no grab rails, there is a good chance they may get thrown off balance on big bikes like this which accelerate hard
That said, a pillion will not feel very comfortable due to the hard and high seat.
I feel the power generated under these multi cylinder bikes is also disturbing for a pillion. But I hardly ever sat as one
On another note, while many bikes struggle to hit 120, 120 is piece of cake on this bike. You can cruise all day around 120-130 and get very good FE too!

On inquiry, dealers are charging some 700-800 bucks as "handling charges" here in Pune. Did all of you need to pay this? Is this even legal or Yamaha approved?

infact all dealers charge handling fee but it is a kind of cheating us. its not encouraged by the company and if u drop a mail company will immediately take action.
not only this, you have to ask for detail splitup because there will be many hidden charges which we dont have to pay.

i had this experience before when i bought my Hunk.

Right now you are saying 120 is enuf because probably you are riding a less powerful bike. On a R3 or a Ninja300 or a RC390, 120 feels like you are going slow as the engines are relaxed at those speeds. On these bikes you will be bored of 120.

But on Indian roads it is better to stick to 120 with occasional bursts to 150 and above so that you dont fall asleep
