Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Just spoke to Yamaha India Customer care about the handling charges. Surprisingly they said that we have to pay these charges for the transportation borne by the dealer. :|Originally posted by dineshaugustin View Postinfact all dealers charge handling fee but it is a kind of cheating us. its not encouraged by the company and if u drop a mail company will immediately take action.
not only this, you have to ask for detail splitup because there will be many hidden charges which we dont have to pay.
i had this experience before when i bought my Hunk. The way you ride is the way you are..

Congrats my friend. She looks sexy as ever. These pics remind me of the time when i was crazy behind R15 v2.Originally posted by ankit mishra View Post

I have booked the Benelli TNT 300 and I had to choose between R3 or the TNT300. The only reason I chose TNT was pillion comfort. Anyway, thats a personal choice.
I have a few questions.
1. What is the service interval period ? (both R3 and Ninja 300)
2. How much does it cost ? (exclude the free service if it applies) (both R3 and Ninja 300).
Once again, she looks sexy!!

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
For R3 - First service at 1000kms, then every 5000kms. Engine oil costs around 460rs/Litre and Oil filter 360rs. So around 2000rs per service. I read that it will be around 3500 for Ninja.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View PostCongrats my friend. She looks sexy as ever. These pics remind me of the time when i was crazy behind R15 v2.

This is insane or may be because of imported bike ? have u spoken with the regional manager?Originally posted by Deathmate.Zed View PostJust spoke to Yamaha India Customer care about the handling charges. Hero and Honda usually never allow us to pay for the handling charges.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Rightly said. Indian roads are no more safer above 120. But with R3 and N300 lacking mandatory ABS feature, a high speed braking can make the biker and bike a history and it's good for them to keep it at good cruising speeds. One should use the "extra" available torque to overpass other vehicles.Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostRight now you are saying 120 is enuf because probably you are riding a less powerful bike. On a R3 or a Ninja300 or a RC390, 120 feels like you are going slow as the engines are relaxed at those speeds. On these bikes you will be bored of 120.
But on Indian roads it is better to stick to 120 with occasional bursts to 150 and above so that you dont fall asleep

(My heart was pounding so hard for that 5-10 seconds). Anyways since this bike doesn't have ABS, need to practice panic breaking first.
BTW I am going to book the bike tomorrow.
Bangalore folks- If i were to exchange the MRFs on delivery day for say pirelli/metzelers/michelins which tyre dealer should i contact?

I don't understand why people are assuming that the MRFs aren't good. I just checked mine and found they're the same as R15 V1's. Zapper FY and Zapper S.
And many will vouch that these are some of the best tyres ever made in India!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I feel, as this bike is capable of doing easy 140-150kmph, one should change it's tyres to Michellin\perelli\Metzellers. My two cent here.
These tyres are more gripy then MRF tyres and will help in Panic braking results as well.

It depends on showroom to showroom, Either they show it as Handling charges or Miscellaneous.Originally posted by Deathmate.Zed View PostOn inquiry, dealers are charging some 700-800 bucks as "handling charges" here in Pune. Did all of you need to pay this? Is this even legal or Yamaha approved?

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
There are better tires than mrf, duke390 gets an excellent handling one of the reason is because of Metzeler tires. However MRF is good enough for most of the riders and shouod satisfyOriginally posted by Sarvajit View PostI don't understand why people are assuming that the MRFs aren't good.
