The exhaust's angle makes me think, will rain water fall directly into this exhaust, while riding in rain[/QUOTE]
The water will drain out from the bottom of the exhaust. Personally would never take it out during rains.

How many kms did you cover before installing this? Will this meddle with the warranty? Is the sound and increase in power(if any) worth the 22k? I was looking to get this from Horizon Moto Hyderabad. Got my Puig R12 sliders from there too. As of now my pocket's pretty light so maybe after a few months I will think of this.
Since this is just a slipon & doesnt require any electronic modifications to be done,so wont void the warranty. Anyway also confirmed with yamaha before installing the same, infact got this installed at yamaha service center. And they were quite impressed with it.

am sure that officially the warranty would be void, but if you have good rapport with the svc or are able to switch the exhaust when you have the need to raise a warranty claim.. it shouldn't be a problem. I haven't seen any manufacturer make an entry on the manual or elsewhere that indicates a vehicle is out of warranty (assuming they arent as proactive to flagging your bike on their systems as soon as they see such a mod on a bike)

I had managed to study most of the other 300s in the segment and had to go with this since this bike is one of the best for our conditions and also, general maintenance is easier(read: cheaper too). The bike is quite loud since after 5k rpm: it begins sounding sbk'ish . Really tractable engine. Pity the flooding in my city. It now sits covered.
A pic i took after a night's small spin.
I guess I saw you this morning while on my way to work. Near Kathipara I suppose. Can't recall. Yours is the 1st R3 I have spotted in the city.
Cheers!

VJOnce upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

1st Service
The bike was serviced at 1000kms. Saturday 28th, and I went for a 450+kms. ride the very next day.
Taken into the superbike air conditioned service room...feels special!
They will fix swingarm spools put the bike on a paddock. I suggest buying this for chain maintenance/puncture repairs etc.
This is the oil filter, mounted under the bike separately like in cars. Price Rs. 360.
Yamalube Fully synthetic Engine oil 2lts. with oil filter change. Cost Rs. 400 per litre.
Battery Check
Old oil drained
Bill Rs. 1501
Polishing Rs. 300
Tip Rs. 150
The black bike also came for servicing the following weekend:Last edited by Sarvajit; 12-09-2015, 01:33 AM.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Accessories pics contd.
Radiator guard. It is not as thick as the KTM's, but it should do the job of protecting against small stones and pressure wash from bending the fins.
My Mech and I plan to fit some mesh in the inner fairing too, like what the R15 has.
The side fairing and under body cowls had to be removed
Without the guard
After installation. It mounts along with the existing mounts and rubbers. Clamps are existing to fit.

I think this is finally a Yamaha product, no more Motul rebadged hence the price advantage.
Change interval recommended is 5K kms.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
