Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hey guys i have a blue/silver r3, and i have ordered an Agv K3 SV 5 continents online a couple of weeks ago and since the size isnt in stock i have to wait for 15 days more , i orderes the 5 continents graphic as i thought it would go with the colour of the bike, but there are 4-5 more identical helmets in my city, but im having second thoughts now and im getting attracted towards the elements graphic which no one owns in the city, do you think that the elements graphic will go with the bike? or should i stick with the 5 continents? all your views are appreciatedthis is the 5 continents
this is the element graphic

Food for thought, all Rossi fanbase and local boys have oodles of the 5 Continents helmets, both replica and pseudo-pastelled helmets. The Element graphic would surely look great on a sunny day. If I had to pick, Element GraphicsOriginally posted by bivaash dewan View PostHey guys i have a blue/silver r3, and i have ordered an Agv K3 SV 5 continents online a couple of weeks ago and since the size isnt in stock i have to wait for 15 days

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Yes surely the elements graphic would stand out from the crowd, but do you think it would look good with the bike?Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostFood for thought, all Rossi fanbase and local boys have oodles of the 5 Continents helmets, both replica and pseudo-pastelled helmets. +1 for the Elements. I like it when the lid is contrasting to the other gear. Also, gives a better visibility to others on road.Originally posted by bivaash dewan View PostYes surely the elements graphic would stand out from the crowd, but do you think it would look good with the bike?

Something like this (I couldn't find elements),
2008 - 2010: Apache RTR 160FI
2010 - 2016: Honda Civic Coupe
2016 - : Elite i20 Asta (O), Yamaha R3

Yes even i was leaning towards the elements ,but i had already ordered the 5 continents from bikegear.in a couple of days back and they said that since it was out of stock they had to order it from italy , i tried talking to the guy from Bikegear today and changing the order but he said if i wanted to change the order some restocking fees would be applied which was rs 1800 ,is asking for such extra charges allowed or not?Originally posted by mathi_vadhaann View Post+1 for the Elements. Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi everyone,
I'd placed the booking for my blue silver R3 on 14th of this month. Since the colour was not available it had to come from Noida. Finally today the dealership has informed me that the bike will arrive today.
On this regard i have a few clarifications to make:- Other than basic PDI should i be on the lookout for any specific issues commonly noticed buy existing owners?
- I will have to travel to bangalore this weekend ( from chennai ), and i am not sure if the registration will be done by then. In that case is it okay to travel interstate with the temp. registration ?
- Coming to tyres, i am planning to get them changed immediately. Options are metzlers or pirelli rosso 2. Can anyone share their experience with these tyres ?
- Also the dealer had informed me that the bike that's coming is the most recently assembled one. how can i check the manufacture and assembly date to understand the year and month?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Regards,
Ashwin

1. Do the PDI very carefully.Originally posted by ashwinmnair View PostHi everyone,

2. Avoid interstate travel with temporary registration.
3. In stock size we have options of Michelin and pirelli diablo rosso 2, if you are more of a tourer then get michelin.
4. Check earlier posts detailed decoding of VIN number is discussed.

Hi Ashwin,
Congrats first of all.
Regarding the VIN - check the following link to confirm with mft year. link - https://en.vindecoder.pl/
I personally checked it with my 2011 yamaha FZ 16's VIN. It showed the right info.
Hope it helps.
Do post some pics

Just a rendering, don't believe unless some official statement comes out or spy shots of bike are available.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostJust came across this, not sure about the accuracy of this scoop.
