So here is a photo of my new ride,i previously owned a cbr 250r, i had never ridden an r3 before , but had ridden the ninja 300 and the tnt 300 so based on reviews and this forum and the ride quality of those two bikes i decided to get this and i blindly booked it ,had to wait for a couple of days but finally got it today and i rode it for about 120 kms today including straights and curves too and honestly speaking this is the best bike i have ridden so far in every aspect (have ridden the tnt 600i, hyosung 650, er6n too), the engine is so smooth and the power delivery is awesome, in short its the perfect everyday bike, I'm absolutely loving every bit of it ,i personally recommend anybody who is deciding between the other 300s and the 390 twins to close their eyes and go for this bike, ride safe guys , cheers!

I don't know why yamaha dealers give bikes without even temporary number on them. Mine got delivered last week and has nothing on the number plate holders. Has anyone been stopped by traffic police because of this or faced any issues? I am not riding the bike over a km radius wondering if it is even illegal to ride it that way.

Haha...I had seen him way before that.
He was trying to go ahead for a while but I kept him at bay
That is the reason I let him pass at the corner.

In chennai cops will catch if we dont have proper number. Even 'For Regn' is not valid here.
My friend who took bullet had to give 300 rupees as ' so called penalty' on the first ride itself since he had only 'For Regn' on his number plate.
The showroom guys will have a permit to ride the bike for registration but it is not applicable for us.

Hi Guys, I'm back in the country after 6 years. I'm planning to book an R3 this week.
Raj Yamaha, OMR Chennai is the closest dealer to me. But, I'm reading horrible things about them on Google reviews.
Any other dealer, chennai folks can vouch for. Or any pointers in handling with dealers, so I don't get stuck with a used/display bike is appreciated.

                              Cheers!!
                              2008 - 2010: Apache RTR 160FI
                              2010 - 2016: Honda Civic Coupe
                              2016 - : Elite i20 Asta (O), Yamaha R3

Try it out in Sri Motors, Kattupakkam.

                                Things to consider that showroom,

                                1. You can see the R3. Not only R3. MT, VMax, R1M
                                2. It's a Global Show Room. So they can't make any fake promises.
                                3. I found people there having more knowledge and passion towards the bike.
