Haha. That's true! I had no patience to get my hands on a used one. I can imagine the urge to get the new one..

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
It is a major change, if we go by the reports, perimeter frame, USD forks (and probably aluminium/alloy swing arm?)Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostThe facelift model will be launched by 2020. Not a major change to wait for I think! [emoji16]
But, as you said even if it's launched next year, it'll come to India, most likely, by 2020 so it would be a long long wait.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
So, the mech cleaned the Oil pressure switch(just beside the front sprocket). Now the light doenst comes up while riding. But it stays on for half a sec after engine starts.Originally posted by sambit View PostGuys, Sometimes, the Oil pressure light comes up while pressing the clutch while riding. Once U release it, the light goes off. Any body faced the issue?? Mine is a 2017 manufactured model. Oil level is perfect. Still couple of months & 2K kms remaining for 4th servicing.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

Thanks for letting us know.
Did the mechanic also mention what caused the Oil pressure switch to behave this way?
I assume that it started happening recently and was not the case from day-1.
Do you own the CBR along with R3?Rushikesh

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
No idea why it occurred. The mech told me, its the 2nd case for him, so he knew, cleaning the switch will solve the issue. Hope it wont come back.Originally posted by rushikesh.ware View PostHi Sambit,

Yes it occurred very recently, due to which I was worried.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
So, I haven't faced any shutting off issues after the service. But sometimes in the first gear, I feel the Bike is reluctant to pull.
Rained heavily today, and had left the bike outside. It refused to start on three attempts. The lights/odo were all working. Tried the ignition on and off and then it starts.
What could be the cause?AweSome is too LesS!

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Please go back a few posts where I have mentioned about my Code 19 error and the subsequent recall by Yamaha. Then, get it checked whether the previous owner had got the recall done for the ignition cable.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The prev owner had only one recall for the clutch assembly fault. The bike wasn't part of the code 19 error recall is what he had told me. Can anyone help with the chassis numbers which were part of it?AweSome is too LesS!

I have a few questions, was this switch in question "removed" and cleaned or just the connections that come of the sensor de-greased and then installed back?Originally posted by rushikesh.ware View PostHi Sambit,

What do you think about chain lube grime getting accumulated over the sensor and makes it go toss at times? A presumption of mine, perhaps.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

For this, I would suggest cleaning the grime with chain cleaner fluid.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostWhat do you think about chain lube grime getting accumulated over the sensor and makes it go toss at times? A presumption of mine, perhaps.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Thanks for sharing the info. Same issue cropped up in my Mojo last sunday after cleaning and lubing the chain. Today after reading your post, I opened the front sprocket cover again and cleaned the connections to the oil sensor which solved the issue.Originally posted by sambit View PostSo, the mech cleaned the Oil pressure switch(just beside the front sprocket). Yes the small cylindrical object, which he calls the switch was taken out and cleaned. Chain lube+mud getting into it might be cause as I am doing too much sluch riding now a days.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostSambit, thank you for the heads up.
