Re: General issues with the R3
Thanks for the explanation. But since all the major issues are sorted out by Yamaha, no need to worry much ( though oil leak might need some research).Originally posted by jawedsoft View PostYes. Agree...
Hoping they relaunch soon.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Dealer at my place is giving delivery of r3 and says its bs4.My friend booked the bike and will be getting in 20 days.Originally posted by Finney View PostJust checked with one dealer today (Pacer Yamaha), they said R3 is expected to be relaunched in August.
Could it be any trick?(if the bike is bs3 then it will be a registered one ...but then the dealer said he will be registering the bike after purchase)
Please help
Thanks

It is surely BS3 model, BS4 model is not yet available, expected in August only.Originally posted by aniket_lp700 View PostDealer at my place is giving delivery of r3 and says its bs4.My friend booked the bike and will be getting in 20 days.

I would say you should ask your friend to do a pdi and a thorough check and decode the VIN before getting it registered and even mail Yamaha about it.Originally posted by aniket_lp700 View PostBut then what about registration ?how can they register now?

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Actually all R3 so far sold were BS3. Its officially confirmed. If the dealer is saying he can get the bike immediately, then its BS3 for sure. They would have registered the bike in the dealer name (for the sake of new BS4 norm) and for your friend registration will be done as a second owner. Normally this kind of purchase involves good discount.Originally posted by aniket_lp700 View PostBut then what about registration ?how can they register now?

Here if it is really an unused bike then you can bargain to the max because they dont have any other option to sell it.
In chennai none of the dealer has R3 and they removed it from display too. They dont have any info regarding the relaunch.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
In may i had enquired for a bs3 model where i would be the second owner. The discount i was offered was a 35K max. Did not find that good enough.Originally posted by aniket_lp700 View PostDealer at my place is giving delivery of r3 and says its bs4.My friend booked the bike and will be getting in 20 days.

Your friend will be the second owner for sure.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If you will be 2nd owner, take atleast 55-60k discount. As You are loosing in resale value, being the 2nd owner.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Since the r3 is 321cc , soo gst will not affect the pricing I'm assuming, same case with the ninja and benelli too I'm assuming? Only the 390s will become more expensive as it's 350plus cc range?
