Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have a quick question. Has anyone ever changed the graphic on R3 at service center? Unfortunately in parking or somewhere somebody tried to fiddle with my graphic and the OCD in me makes me want to replace it. But I like the original one only and not aftermarket one. Any idea if Yamaha will be able to do this?

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I haven't changed plugs on my bike yet...just noticed that the manual recommends replacement at 10k... probably will change it next time I am at the SVC...Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostUPDATE:
Completed 20,000 kms service.
Changed/done following things:
• Engine Oil
• Oil filter
• Air filter
• Cleaned fuel injectors
• Scrubbed both front and rear brake pads
• Changed spark plugs
Total bill was ₹2550/- of which labour was ₹450/-.
I had the injector's cleaned at around 15k and the difference in bike pickup could be felt right away...
In my last service I forced the SVC to lubricate both the wheel bearings and the swing arm bush...only afterwards I realised how badly the wheel lubrication was needed...now the bike coasts for longer distance..

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
In chennai Padi showroom, when inquired last week, they said, R3 launch is not this year , and the speculative time period is also not known, but R15 V3.0 will be around SeptemberOriginally posted by coldfire2005 View PostWas Told August just before Ganesh Holidays and will have ABS has option

I was confused. Now after reading your post, i think showrrom guys got confused R3 and R15 V3.0.
If this info is reliable, then its a good news for us.
Last month the last R3 which was kept for display also sold. Seems R3 demand is more because of its absence
.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
After Bajaj Kawasaki Split ,Many in tier two or three cities don't have any options rather then to go for Yamaha R3 or Benelli in that price range . Yamaha showroom is just 200 meters away from my place but their is no Kawasaki showroom in Whole of Goa this is leading to customers going for R3 in many Smaller cities where they don't have Kawasaki showrooms .Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostIn chennai Padi showroom, when inquired last week, they said, R3 launch is not this year , and the speculative time period is also not known, but R15 V3.0 will be around September

Information received is tentative but Kawasaki has confirmed me that New Showroom in Goa will be ready by year end so if R3 doesn't come soon or comes without ABS as option then I have option of Ninja 300 or even X300

2018 Yamaha R25 (facelift) begins testing in Indonesia - Report
Finally 2018 R25 under testing. Now the question is whether Yamaha will launch Bs4 version of current R3 or they would be going for newer version next year

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I want them to go for a newer version atleast a facelift. R3 is now the only bike that looks out of line than the rest of the R series bikes...Originally posted by dineshaugustin View Post2018 Yamaha R25 (facelift) begins testing in Indonesia - Report

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I think it will be better if Yamaha bring in the R25 at price level comparable to D250/D390 (or slightly more for Yamaha quality).Originally posted by dineshaugustin View Post2018 Yamaha R25 (facelift) begins testing in Indonesia - Report

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I would say R3 is better than R25 , 250 cc is bit crowded and having 50cc extra is beneficial in terms of performance.Originally posted by Ayyachamy View PostI think it will be better if Yamaha bring in the R25 at price level comparable to D250/D390 (or slightly more for Yamaha quality).

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi fellow R3 owners, I am about to buy a used R3 from a dealer. The bike is a march 2017 model and in good condition with very less (less than 4000) kms clocked. I just have the following two questions which only a R3 owner can possibly answer:
1.Is the rc book a printout on a4 paper with RTO stamp? I was expecting it to be like those conventional rc papers (wide certificate style)
2.The first free service is done in time and second is due in a month. But the second service receipt in the service book is missing. Will this be a problem to avail the 2nd free service? More than the free service I am worried about a voided warranty.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Which state RTO are you referring to? Because different RTO has different document type of issueing. In karnataka they give RC card which looks and feels like an ATM card with all the details of the motorcycle and the owners details with ingram of state RTO authorities sign and stamp.Originally posted by Razrman View PostHi fellow R3 owners, I am about to buy a used R3 from a dealer. Sorry. I was referring to Mumbai, Maharashtra.Originally posted by Felicity View PostWhich state RTO are you referring to? Because different RTO has different document type of issueing. Also, I am more concerned about the 2nd service leaflet being missing. Will this void the warranty?
Nothng yet. I spoke to 2 dealers in Mumbai yesterday. Had written to Yamaha India too. But got a very vague reply.Originally posted by aniket_lp700 View PostGuys any update about r3 launch?
Its actually after waiting hopelessly for so long, that I decided to get a used one . Last edited by Razrman; 08-03-2017, 08:53 AM.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Well, first of all. Congratulations and good choice. There's no concrete information on the bs4 R3 being launched soon enough, but if u could wait until the festive season thn nothing like it..Originally posted by Razrman View PostHi fellow R3 owners, I am about to buy a used R3 from a dealer. Never the less, regarding your query,
1. As you know Mumbai itself has 3-4 RTOs.. so all of them have their own format of RC copy, a regular print out is one of them..
2. A missing 2nd free service coupon shouldn't cause warranty issues if you would get the service done as per the schedule which acc to u is due in a months time. Just that you'll have to pay the paid service cost.
Hope that solves ur querry, nd wish u a happy ownership experience.
