I found a pool of oil under my bike a few hours after I got home from service .
I initially thought it was a loose bolt or filter or something, but then I checked the oil was leaking from the joint above the bolt!
    (mini heart attack)
Dealer says they have ordered the replacement parts, and my bike is grounded since 2 weeks now and still no update.

Can you send me the details of parts that were replaced in your case? I hope all is well now.
This usually happens because SVC mechanic tries to hammer the drain bold in order to loosen it. Thsi damages the oil sump as it is bit brittle and cracks near the shoulder of drain bolt.
Happened with @Ashwiin Napster here in Bengaluru also.

Do confirm from your SVC that they are paying for it(which I doubt). They may make an excuse that you may have gone over the hump or offroad which would have cracked the oil sump. But actually it is mistake of SVC.

Proper torque wrench and better practice can only avoid it.

It is going to be repaired tomorrow, they just called me. (Fingers Crossed)

I recently changed the tyres. Same specs to Pirellis. Did balancing/alignment. Now the bike is swaying. Turning/leaning doesn't feel confidence inspiring. What could be the issue?? Wheels not installed properly by the mechanic?? Bike was straight as an arrow. When I leave my hands off the handle bar, bike doesn't stay straight. It used to.

          Any inputs on this issue?

          Regards!

Yea... The tire pressure was not correct. I rectified it. Rear was at 41. Front was also way off. After this the sway reduced quite a lot. But it's still there.

Both tyres are xx19. I can't recall the exact week now. I checked this while buying. Shaped seemed ok when I purchased it. Maybe I should remove the wheels and re-install?

It should settle down in about 500 kms.

As suggested by others let the tyre break-in.

Pirellis have more rounder profile than other tyres in same segment and gives an impression of ready to corner.
So newer tyres and that too Pirellis will give that impression.
Hi guys... my initial doubt was correct. The wheels were not installed properly by the tyre shop. After 200 kms now my brake pads are worn out and there are many deep scratch marks on the disc itself. I have to change the pads and disc. Also changing the ABS rings just to be on the safer side. Bike is at the service center.

Really disappointing! Hardly anyone is able to do quality work. Makes me so paranoid every time I think about doing any sort of work on the bike. Waiting for the parts now.

          Cheers!

              Good Morning,

So I went down to the Shell Pump for some V-Power near Margapatta (my first visit there) the attendant asks me to get off the bike as its a rule (not sure why silly rule). Then proceeds to start the fueling process and nothing comes out from the nozzle.Proceeds to check with his boss, nothing works. Then asks me if I want regular fuel. I said hell no.Went for some SPEED instead. Moral of the story SILLY RULES NO FUEL .

R3's done 10K absolute breeze to ride.Got the brakes oil changed and bled brakes are way more sharper now.So happy with this bike.Kinda happy to see the 2020 R3 too.

                Hi K17,

The engine is hot and God forbid a spillage occurs, it is far easier to get away from this situation when you are already off the bike. It's for everyones safety.

                Cheers!

if so I really need to buy right away.

I do not want a dedicated position bike.

But then, if they are releasing the MT03, my god, would it be good that I hadnt bought so far

I think the price may increase for BS6. It will be interesting to see if India gets the USD forks. So far Yamaha has not provided this on the R15 and MT15. I feel they will omit it.

The new R3 definitely has a bit more sporty ergonomics compared to the previous gen R3, N300 and N400. All reviewers have said this.

                            I waited for MT03 and then got R3 [emoji52]

How much would the hike be anyway, 5-10k for a bike that 4.4 on road is not a big deal truly?

and even in the current R3 there is not a lot of localization, i doubt they will play around with USD as that would need further R&D costs etc.
If it's going to be the new model as is, my time is running out to get the current R3 as i want a daily friendly bike, not an enthusiastic track friendly one.

                                The 1st Gen R3 was 3.25 L. BS4 was 3.48 L with ABS. So I guess between 5-10% hike for sure for the BS6.
