Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Got the bike to the SVC to check for the shut off issue. The SVC guy rode it and after considerable heating of the engine he noticed that the fan was kicking in late. Also when the fan did kick in the bike did not start. It started after the fan stopped. So yeah this is related to the heating up of the engine.
Have given them the bike to run the diagnostics in their system and get it rectified. Will update more after getting the machine back. The way you ride is the way you are..

Good progress. How many bars was the fuel gauge at when this was checked?
Also, check the battery and RR voltage when off the bike (overnight no use) and on it (when engine is running). This way all doubts will be eliminated.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Finalised on R3 over ninja 300. Here is why IMO.
1. 44k cheaper. Cheaper to maintain. N300 spares are ridiculously overpriced.
2. R3 makes power early compared to N300 whose real potential comes in at higher revs. This makes it fun to ride in city as well as highway.
3. The 'new' factor!
4. Better braking.
5. More power and torque. Although marginal still evident.
6. Yamaha fanboy.
Monday marked for booking. Delivery in 10-12 days.
Choosing blue over black because blue stands out. Black is lost in the crowd. Although it's a blessing in disguise. No offense black R3 owners.
What are the must have accessories apart from helmet. Guys please suggest.

Update on the engine shut off issue :
Got the relay unit replaced with a new one. The bike is not exhibiting the previous behavior now. Will keep observing and go back if required. This was done under warranty so no charges were paid. The way you ride is the way you are..
