At its price point, Yamaha was finding it hard to sell while KTM was enjoying the savings due to manufacturing in India. So, most likely, Yamaha is looking at the feasibility of local manufacturing and making India its export base. Addition of ABS and new colours are also to be taken care of.

Is this your guess or do you have sources in Yamaha?Originally posted by NH08 View PostAt its price point, Yamaha was finding it hard to sell while KTM was enjoying the savings due to manufacturing in India. But iam not sure what this has to do with removing the R3 from their web page.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostAsked yamaha on their Facebook page, it's because of BS4. When BS4 models are ready R3 would be back to sell

They told currently its bs3 compliant and with current rule they can't sell it, they might have removed to avoid any confusion.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostBut iam not sure what this has to do with removing the R3 from their web page.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
This is a guess only. Regarding the removal of R3 from the website, it is stated that it was because of R3 not being BS 4 compliant. However, there is one question - are all other models (from 100cc commuters to 1800 cc Vmax) of Yamaha BS 4 compliant? They are still there. And also from other companies like CBR 250R, Navi etc. None has been removed from their websites.Originally posted by leech View PostIs this your guess or do you have sources in Yamaha?

According to this all the models are BS4 compliant up to r15. Nothing has been mentioned about R3 to Vmax

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
That news is quite confusing. Yamaha was able to convert all of its products into BS4 compliant models by the last week of March but not R3. Strange!
Whatever may be the reason for removing R3 from Yamaha's list, I hope it returns and that too with ABS.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yamaha never revealed their launchs and plans aggressively like ktm or Mahindra.
so most Indians kept waiting, guessing or moved to other available options in market. Ultimately its loosing side for yamaha, why they don't understand God knows.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yamaha 's marketing only exists for scooters and bikes up to 150 cc with fz25 as a exception , is non existent, r3 just arrived at the showrooms without any TD or coverage, likewise there is a bike called the fz09 which is specified on the website , yet I'm yet to see one review of that bike by anyone and nobody even considers or some don't even know the bike is there in the market, such is Yamaha's ignorance. The ones who are considering the z800,900,1000,street triple, monster, I don't see fz09 on those lists.Originally posted by bikersdream View PostYamaha never revealed their launchs and plans aggressively like ktm or Mahindra.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
If i remember well, FZ16 was available earlier but it disappeared from website only along with R3.Originally posted by Ivin View PostFZ 16 is already discontinued in India. Only the version 2 with FI will continue.
Something is going on and Yamaha is not ready to reveal the reason. Hope they give some statement but media needs to highlight this.
