Most probably we will get new colour scheme. And we wont get anything else apart from slight hike in price.

The statement is almost correct. new price will be about 4.10L on road in bangalore.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostMost probably we will get new colour scheme. And we wont get anything else apart from slight hike in price.
Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostAs per this youtuber Yamaha R3 is confirmed for relaunch. Apparently BS4 issue.
New graphics are expected ( my fav 2017 red) and mechanically shall be same.
Personally i would like the same engine spec, otherwise in the name of 'PS' war, most of the time the torque is lost.
Hate those colours personally.
Engine spec wont change. emission related stuffs will.
ABS cant be fitted in the current wire harness that R3 has in india. which means it has to be changed to get the ABS in R3.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostThe fact of the matter is that they, won't, it's either expensive or Yamaha is not too bothered about the segment and abs. They could have at least offered it as a option in 2015 itself, in my view any bike over 200cc should be offered with abs atleast as a option.
Costs will be about 30K increase for sure. I doubt anyone will buy the bike. Its one thing to say people want ABS but when ABS is there they wont buy because it costs 'Too much'
and trust me, they are bothered about the segment and also costing.
+1.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostAgreed with your point but Kawasaki should have also offered ABS on N300 but they haven't. I guess yamaha would bring ABS early 2018. None of the 300cc CKD bike offers ABS. I think manufacturers are waiting for the government to make it mandatory just like BS4.
what people need to understand is that in india costing matters a lot and things change. ultimate truth.

Unfortunately its the bitter truth. People carve for technology but when a product comes with, we compare with respect to spec and price.Originally posted by Ron Syl View PostIts one thing to say people want ABS but when ABS is there they wont buy because it costs 'Too much'

Iam sure R15 V3 will considered as a least value for money if it launches in India, though it has some supersports tech but for many of us its could be a 150cc bike with 250cc price.Last edited by dineshaugustin; 04-12-2017, 07:07 AM.

As per the article here - https://www.bikedekho.com/news/yamah...ed-for-updates
Chances are tyres will be upgraded too. I hope it becomes a decently priced swap option for old R3s.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Which dealer ?
on road price of BS3 R3 is 3.87L as of march end.
There are no more R3 available as of now i guess in bangalore. There is 1 R3 remaining with Bangalore Wheels showroom. (which might just get taken any time soon by a YRCian today) . So which ever R3 you will get before july is a BS3 reg R3. Go check the bike manf date if you wanna know its BS3 or not. it will be BS3 obviously. And also it will be Pre-registered. check bike papers from showroom.
Yes, road tax is increased. The future BS4 R3 will cost 4.1 on road.'On the Road that never ends...'

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
It must be BS3. Check and Bargain for a good discount. I got mine for 3.10 L here. Around 60K discount. Also check, if Insurance is done before 31st March or not. In my case, insurance was done in some body else's name, which was trasferred into mine, then sent for registration.HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

The break-up of the cost is still identical. A small difference of hundreds.Originally posted by vdarshan View PostR3 was 3.86L last year October, not sure how it is still 3.86L after road tax hike.

I spoke directly to the owner of the dealership. He said that he can deliver the bike "with-in 20 days" with registration once full payment or finance is confirmed. I will be heading to BW before finalizing.
If he has a pre-registered R3, does the RTO take 20 days to transfer ownership?
Thanks for the info.
I will strike a deal once I'v got the amount ready. I will bargain for some 50k or so. I will check the insurance. Thanks for the heads-up.Originally posted by sambit View PostIt must be BS3. Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
something dosent feel right. He should be able to give the bike once the full amount is paid. Yes it will take few days to transfer the ownership if its pre-reg. If you are going to bangalore wheels, meet Mr.Prabhu, he is the owner. Tel him ronnie asked you to approach him for the bike, he will understand.Originally posted by vivekgautams View Post
