For my typical city cruising, i need to know how far it could handle the traffic without needing frequent gear shift.
My Hunk due to short gear can go 26kmph in 5th gear and hence i dont do much gear shift. For sure R3 would be different, but i just want to know the comparative figure.

In city keep the bike between 3rd and 4th 40-60kmph , highway for best FE I'd assume 80-120 is the range.

This is what exactly i need.
6th gear minimum speed 45kmph
5th gear 35 to 60kmph
4th gear 25 to 50kmph
Going by this, only fewer gear shift might require for city commuting if practically holds true.
Its more than what i was expecting for R3, feels like i wont miss my HUNK much if i ride in city.
Thanks for the info.

At 6th gear maintaining 55kmph is no problem, there's no lug and you can increase your speed at that speed too.

IRDA increased insurance policy premium rates. Please check with your insurance company exact details, as mentioned in news , third party rates for r3 is increased. 75cc or lesser is not changed Mitron!!

Thanks.
Practically how far it can go low (below 55kmph) on 6th gear before it starts lugging?

At around 48-50kmph 3000rpm in 6th gear shows signs of lugging.

This is weird, it seems all of sudden, R3 disappeared from Yamaha India website. May be a glitch ?

Maybe Yamaha decided to update the colours atlast ?

me too thinking the same...but i just hope they retain the current blue since 2017 blue doesnt look as good as the one in 2017 R6.

I really wish they give R15 V2 first gen racing blue, but i guess it wont happen.

Got a call from Yamaha regarding the R3. They said the bike is discontinued. They could relaunch it, it could be late this year, it could be next month or maybe next year as they dont have a specific time frame decided for the same, according to the person who called me.
