A very good evening to all happy n very happy mojo owners.
I am following this thread from the very first post and planning to own this bike very soon. Till now almost everything has been discussed related to the bike but if you guys could throw some light on the service interval and maintenance cost involved.
Also if someone has changed parts such as indicators, cables etc to give an idea on parts cost which usully wear with time.
    Thanks in advance...

Today it was first service of my bike which cost me only 1380/-
Only oil and oil filter was changed.

      Service intervals are
      1st - 1000 km or 1 month
      2nd - 6000 km or 6 month
      3rd - 12000 km or 12 month
      4th - 18000 km or 18 month

But yes although accessories are costly for this bike so please maintain which you got with bike.

          Hi

          1) I want to remove current headlight assembly & modify headlights of my mojo because front is too heavy & not good looking. How can I modify headlights of my mojo?

          2) Also if I lower front USD forks by 15mm will it increase handling in traffic?

          3) Is it possible to modify seat to offer more comfort to pillion?

            1. How old is the bike? If it's fairly new, then I would suggest wait for some time before you change the headlights. Reason being, the stock headlamp does the job. And changing it to new assembly will cost upwards 6-7k. Options are any 5-6" round headlamp will be good for touring, many available on eBay.

            2. If you need to improve the handling. Take it to svc and get the suspension stiffened. Reducing 15mm shouldn't be a problem, but I don't have first hand experience with that.

            3. Definitely yes. Lot of people have tried it. Installing a backrest works wonders in pillion comfort. Go to svc and ask for rear carrier with back rest. Also, there are touring seats available for mojo with better cushioning.

            Cheers!

I am bit new in this forum. I bought a Mahindra mojo couple of months back. Previously, I was raiding Yamaha Fz. I love this bike for its quality performance from last 7-8 years. I used this bike in heavy storm to coldest-dark foggy night(8-10 degree C) with out a single glitch. Thanks for its impressive quality.

I bought MOJO to use it for my long distance travel which now become obvious almost in every weekend( as I am working in Bangalore and my Family stay in Chennai). I already did a trip Bangalore to Chennai and understand that I choose the right bike for my purpose. Almost everything is right in this bike except the head light. This light is really very poor and the beam patterns also not very good. I found they used H17 bulb type which I think bit new in market and I am not getting much option even if I search in net also.

I like to know can I replace this H17 bulbs with H4 with out any modification? If not could you let me know where can I get h17 bulbs which is more powerful and better for high road.

I am also planning for adding extra fog lights. Please provide some suggestion for that also.

              please help

Get the fog lamps from Mahindra .they are very good

Do you have it on your bike? Does it save you from wind blast, I mean helmet wobbling and stuff?

Also, how's the high speed stability? Does it flutter?

Is there engine knocking in low RPMs like in and around 2000-3000 rpm?because in bad road conditions and city traffic can't use a higher RPM.

                        Hi,

Just a background..i recently owned a Himalayan and sold it....looking to buy a reliable tourer...

I took the mojo on a long ride(rented from wicked ride)...i absolutely loved the engine and gearbox...

worried about the brakes and the fuel efficiency...the rear felt very vague(may its a rented bike)...mileage seemed good i did abt 540km with 18 L of fuel...but the fuel indicator suddenly dropped from 2 bars to empty...how much fuel does it have once it empty bar blinks...

Any long term niggles owning the bike...and r the spares expensive...just being cautious after the Himalayan debacle...

Engine Knocking is there , but its common for higher CC bike. Once you get adjusted when to change the gear it wont be any issue

OK. I'm riding unicorn 150cc, n never rode a higher CC bike. I had taken a short test ride of Mojo n was not comfortable with the gearing . Is there any tips or tricks of how to ride them?

Hi.. I'm planning for mojo. I too like you will be using in City traffic more. So can you just state two things-- with high CC isn't it produce knocking at slow speed and what about the heat generated from the engine?how long have you using it ?any issues?

Yes, you can lower the forks, provided your forks allow for such provision. Usually, when the bike a lowered in the fork, it aids in flickability as it reduces the wheel base to an extent. But double, triple, check -- even quadruple check, how the handle bar turns, check for any stressed/stretched switch gear wires, cables. Cables, especially can stick in these cases when they stretch and you don't want that to happen, especially if it's your accelerator cable. Rest assured it's a cheap fix for slightly improving the character of the bike motorcycle.

                                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                                THE END
