In my opinion, upgrading headlamp won't work well unless you upgrade to LED headlight or 55W bulb. The thing is the reflector design in hornet headlight is poor.

So it'll not give expected illumination unlike other bikes with same bulb.
My suggestion is to go with auxiliary.
Yeah auxillary lights are pretty good... Far reaching and good penetration

    • Hornet 160R-

I just bought a new Honda cb hornet. I feel that my bike is restless..it's not going smooth as I expected..

I am even struggling to put the bike in neutral and the gear pads are hard..and its getting difficult to shift the Gears.

Can anybody suggest me an idea to overcome these issues of my new Bike..

That is to be expected. Its a new bike, just like a new baby. Its going to be restless and rough.

Neutral click will come with time and breakin. As for hard shifts, wear boots while riding.

And illegal, unfortunately. Pune police have broken the auxiliary lamps in some isolated incidences, 100 bucks for the rest.

I've just upgraded lamp to 60/55 Philips Vision. Changed from AC to DC with additional capacitors. Initial impression is very good, but definitely not at the same level auxiliary lights which are outstanding.

              Is it really? [emoji15] [emoji27] [emoji33]
I've been in Mumbai with auxiliary on and also lots of other bikers.. but none was charged..
Anyways now with AHO throwing light all time doesn't make visual different from auxiliary on.

IMP: Triumph tiger comes with factory fitted auxiliary. So it must be LEGAL in India.
And cars also come with fog/auxiliary.

👮 can fine only on the basis of how illegally fitted the headlight is.
As per a law I remember, headlight should not be higher than 1.x metre on bike. Forgot exact x value..
So if any auxiliary which is fitted such that it blinds oncoming traffic, then YES it's illegal and 👮 will fine you.

              Hope this helps everyone! [emoji2]

                        • Rear wheel does not spin freely when on center stand

My bike has completed a year and I have completed 10,000 kms.
Just now did a 250 km ride. Prior to it I realized the rear wheel does not spin freely when bike is kept on the main stand. However the bike runs just fine.
                          What could be the reason?

                            .
That's fine, otherwise you will feel this while driving. Just keep your chain well maintained clean and lubed.
Other day at service center, one person was fighting for wheel rotating on neutral in his Unicorn.
Another one was furious for headlamp got fused within 5 month and not willing to spend 240/-

Service center is getting pathetic these day.
For oil leak issue, I had to visit multiple times to get fixed my neutral switch.

1st -> In service, I told them clearly that oil leak is there and they have to fixed it but they didn't.
2nd visit -> Changed neutral switch. But again it was leaking in two weeks.
3rd visit -> They fixed washer and messed something else and neutral indicator was always showing Neutral in any gear, just after a day of ride.
4rth visit-> Now it seems fixed everything.

However, I wasn't charged for subsequent visits but it really time consuming and extra Uber charges.
Service center is : Vashnoi Honda, Kondapur Hyderabad.

Don't know how to deal with ignorant service guys.

Does it stop abruptly after you give it a spin? If so, then your Rear disc brake pads are in coming in contact with the disc due to misalignment or due to bent rotor.

Thanks. Mine is the standard drum variant though. However, I will give it a check at the service center or local mechanic to rectify the anomalies.

Yes I have skipped lubing the chain since a few weeks. Will do that right away. I do not notice any stiffness in the wheels while riding though. With the 4th service due, I intend to replace the air filter and get this tight wheel rectified.
