    Thanks for the quick reply mate. Race Edition RTR 200s are delicious but they were launched in 2018, which means a relatively higher price in the used market (80K and above). Were the niggles with the initial editions really that widespread and bad? In fact, that's the main reason why I'm avoiding 2016 launch year RTR200s. Was hoping things would have been fixed MY2017 onwards.

      I have posted the problem i faced in this thread. Have a look at it. If you really want to go for a used RTR 200, i would suggest to go for race edition.

        15K! that's too much. I think the shaft assembly costs around 1.5K - 2K (https://www.tvsmotor.com/parts/apache200.aspx) + engine packings around 300-400 + engine oil + labour charges. Overall it should be around 5-6k approx. Hopefully they have provided itemized bill to you.

        IMO 3-4 isolated incidents cannot be quality issues. However do let us know what TVS has to say about it.

          In our local market for used bikes, there is no difference between price of race and old v1 RTR200. Even if there is a slight difference of 10k, it's well worth it. Goodluck.

            Unfortunately, the difference between the two where I live is a tad too much. Upwards of 20K. 10K would have been fine by me to be honest.

            For now, have found some nice low-mileage (~10k km) 2017 RTR200s for ~₹60k. Non-ABS and Carb of course.

              That's the easy way out which they follow. A kit called the master cylinder replacement kit changes out the moving parts in the disc brake, costs about 4-500 odd. Tvs parts may be more or less.

                  Yeh. Most asc just recommend changing the whole caliper unit instead of changing the internals, leads to a higher bill amount for novices. Haven't been able to get a bleeder screw replacement because of this as I have been unable to find a service center which stocks it.

                      Tried a few of them, no luck. Local stores in hyd don't even understand what it is.

                            Try Bajaj’s 10mm bleeder valve. RTRs using 10 mm valve in front calliper. But for the rear it’s 8mm. It’s very difficult to find than the 10mm.

                            You can try Suzuki for the 8mm. Last time when I approached for that, it wasn’t readily available part and asked me to wait About 20 days for my gs150r.

                              Hello guys.. Anyone here from Mumbai central region - Mulund, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Powai side who can help me tune my carb perfectly or recommend a good mechanic for Apache 200? I was watching some YouTube videos and I think I've messed it up. No matter what I try, I'm unable to get a perfect idle rpm/ engine rhythm.
                              I don't want to take it to ASC as they are useless.

                                Bajaj uses the 10mm bleeder on all models or any specific?
