    3. Doesn't give great mileage. I got 180 km from a tank full.

    4. Too much vibration at idle.

    What do you guys think?
    Other issues is ok..
Ull Get it fixed during service
Regarding mileage, don't expect anything more than 35 if u bought an Aprilia to ride what is meant to be ridden....
Mileage and comfort...Activa and access is the way to go...
If u bought Aprilia, it's for riding....
    Cheers! Ride safe!

Shit! I guess no off-road riding for this bike

Any idea what it is so I can try to resolve it?

You're right it's not comfortable or practical, but hey it looks a 100 times better than those other scoots and has better performance, so it's all good.
      Thanks for the replies!

Not anything for long term peace. Though, make sure the bushings are lubed or greased regularly. And avoid potholes. Otherwise you could put an after market suspension which is on the softer side, but ud receive slower pickup and maybe a drop in mileage.

Secondly, careful of damaging the shift and wheel inners due to excessive shocks and undulations.
Ride responsibly. You only have one life!

Thanks buddy! Changing the suspension is too big of a job so I guess I'll just be cautious. I'll complain about this in first service along with all the lights having condensation in them.

Btw the SVC is 125 km from my home :O So I hope they're willing to at least acknowledge these issues and sort them out because it'll take an entire day for me to go and come back from there.

          Cheers!

            Welcome

Yep, ride the scoot considering it's meant for the track rather than our off-road wannabe roads. Lights having compensation is pretty normal depending on the temperature as the unit is a double barrel based housing placed in a single unit, hence a lot of moving parts.

You could check the bulb seals tho, might be lose. Also check if the resin seal of the housing is intact (black goo around the edges). With regards to the service guys, depends from Centre to Centre. I'd say keep a good repo with em, tip the mechs if you can spare some change.

I got my rear wheel replaced 5 times under warranty (i'd take cake and coke and samosas for the mechs [emoji14] ), problem still persists tho, but then that's the company fault. Never the less, draft emails, lots of them to Aprilia. Works!

Will keep all of that in mind. Thanks again! I appreciate the answers

Is anyone having hard starting when cold, I find it hard to start the bike and even idle when its cold while using choke. Using throttle makes it marginally better, though it still takes a couple of minutes to idle consistently. No problems once warmed up. Bone shaking vibes at idle. 350kms old.

Anyone having their rear shock touch the mudguard?feel this happens while the shock is compressing over speed breakers and a pillion is on boardClick image for larger version

Any explanation on how softer suspension leads to slower pick up and drop in mileage?

                          Hi!
I am getting a weird click click sound from rear hub. It happens while accelerating after starting up. Anyone else having the same?

See if the sound still comes over bad patches or dampers etc. even after engine is off, that's the sound of the shaft in clutch.
Since this is a scooter which is meant for high speed, the shaft of every Aprilia makes that tak tak noise...
Try it on silent roads / mornings etc so sound is heard properly and lemme know

                              Hope it helps!!!

So I have kind of identified the location of the sound. It's coming from rear left somewhere from the CVT. As soon as I let go of throttle there is a click sound.

I did fill up the tyres with air (33 psi rear is correct right?) And the sound has increased now. I'll bring it to the attention of svc and tell them to fix it if they can.

                                Cheers.
