If the cops in your area aren't strict then yeah why not. I personally have no plate or sticker at all since in my area cops don't bother checking. If they will ask I'll say it didn't come with a plate (which it didn't).

Yes, it depends on the the area you stay in. Here in kolkata, cops are really strict about the number plates and do not allow stickers. It has to be a solid plate.

Looks like u were looted badly Please file a case with Aprilia

Yes I agree to it. Here also in jalpaiuri, cops insist for high security number plates. I don't have choice of sticker.
I was wondering whether the number plate can be fixed with epoxy adhesive like Araldite. Any ideas please....

I talked with Aprilia Customer Care. They said that any oil of grade 5W40 will do. Brand is not a factor.
Regarding the price... They refused to comment anything and asked me to confirm the price with Motul

You can try fixing with epoxy. Local bike repair/modification shops may be able to help you.

I enquired at local RTO today. They won't allow me to take the number plate without getting it fixed and the only way to fix it is to drill. I am worried now.
They say they will do it nicely. But I am still skeptical.

Dont worry. Even i had to get my number plate drilled down, and did the other guys with the sr 150.
Get it number plate drilled down below the headlights as i did, or you can drill it along the "sr" logo just above the headlights. It looks much better above the headlights.

Yes, I too feel that fitting it above the headlight looks much better. But I don't know what lies underneath. Shall it not interfere with any electricals or any cable like the choke wire or something?

No there is nothing inside there. I had to open the front part while fitting the projector lights. I can confirm that no wires or anything is there. Only wires are behind the headlights and nothing above or below it.

That's a great amount of information you passed out. I am now fully assured and will go for fixing the plate above the headlight just slightly above the SR logo so that the logo doesn't hide behind the plate. Thanks a lot for the information and the help.
                      Thanks once again.

There has been an incident today when one Aprilia got smashed on side collision with a car, the scooter/ scooty got literally disintegrated.

Can someone tell me the cost of the horn button?

My brother left the SR inside a building and the kids there have broken it. I fixed the button back but it doesn't feel solid like it used to. It's wobbling and might come out again. If anyone has any suggestions do tell me.

                            Cheers.

Depends from one service centre to another. Over here in Goa it costs around 180/ 200.
