[QUOTE=abhiiceman;1307418]Go for after market which are available in variety of colors .

Bro but, many tell me that aftermarket ones not good, they tend to break even in a slight fall
So I thought of duke 390 ones

Don't know about that, but since it's not a single piece it won't be as strong as normal levers, and also even if the normal lever broke they just cost 200rs something to replace them imho.

Rs. 331~ for left clutch lever KTM 2017 adjustable ones, though the right side levers I think is comparatively costlier. One member recently changed, and he's mentioned the cost was 1990 for the right side lever or perhaps I presume his entire master cylinder was changed instead of a lever setup. Considering even the right one is 331, should cost somewhere in the range of 760 plus labor, GST we can optimistically expect Rs. 850 ballpark.

For 200 NS the clutch lever, "CAN" be installed if the clutch perch is the same. Right side clutch lever, I highly doubt as the MS piston engagement setup can differ. Again, if you're willing to do some homework at the SVC regarding the same you can get some answers.

        Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

Holy moly. Is this coz of the fuel !!!
So strange, i noticed this so many times on red lights but could never relate if it was due to the fuel tank...
Still in doubs, but this can be a possibility...

                Hi,
I too felt the same behavior when riding at low gears.
Yes, its true that we need to vary the rpm but in a slow moving traffic of say 20-25kmph, the irregular throttle response is irritating.
Is it supposed to happen as it high compression engine? What about the older generation one?

                  Hello guys,

I would like some feedback from folks who have toured closer to 1k kms in a day on the new 2017 model 390.

                  1. How comfortable is the seat over long hauls?

                  2. How comfortable is the suspension over broken roads?

                  Background: i ride a versys 650.

old gen rc 390 i test rode had a very scary throttle response. i stalled it multiple times while parking it.

on duke 390 i rented for long ride, it had a very nice smooth response. was stuck in traffic multiple times. was very controllable. it had other stalling and electrical problems but throttle was very smooth.

Hello, it's a nice bike. Long distances - I didn't face any tiredness or sore bottom.

One tip : never wear jeans and then ride the bike, use touring pants and you can ride all day long. I had pain points all over my bottom with jeans.

Suspension is good. But I have set mine to 7. Hard setting and I'm happy with it. It won't perform like other adventure bikes as this is a purely road bike. But suspension is certainly better than the previous gen.

For me the headlights on this bike is not sufficient. I realized this when I did a ~700km ride in a day and had to ride for close to 6hrs in the dark. It does not light up the road to my expectation (I had a P220 before which had decent lights).
Has anyone installed additional auxiliary lights on the bike? Any recommendations?

The seats are way comfortable than the older ones, wont be as good as versys but does a descent job.
Suspension are okish rear ones are stiff so for broken roads its a big no no, I usually stand so dont hate it that much.
the big prob I see now is the throw of the light its not at all good if ur doing single lane at night.

the light is good, but it works very well in dark conditions.. in semi dark or under street lights, it's practically useless.. no need for aux, but yeah, if you feel the need you can.. but it's not required..

                              Hi guys...!!

Its just been one week since I got my duke 390 delivered but I tend to face below issues :

                              1.Odo gets reset automatically
2.Low oil pressure sensor glows up every now and then (when stuck at heaven traffic) and goes off immediately when the engine is revved.

For the first issue I got my tft replaced but still the issue is not solved and for second one service guys say that it's a normal phenomena and asking me not to worry.

Kindly advice on this as this is really making me feel down in spite of spending such a huge amount to get this machine

The old bikes had that snatchy, grabby feel with riding especially in slow crawling situations, you can feel the rpm mildly go up and down and when in crawling traffic it can get into the nerves at times. It isn't happening because it's a HC engine, it's because of the fueling by the EFI. The factory setup runs on quite lean and this aggravates the heat even more and lean fuel can in fact produce snatch grab the smooth, constant throttle that even the carburettors used to provide us. Unfortunately that's the earlier Duke 390. It was crazy, snatchy and fun. The newer ones almost, to my feel has resolved this snatchy feeling, they use RBW which means fueling is more precise and I reckon KTM have also worked on the fueling part, so that it's nice and smooth, compared to the older models. You can think of the old one was RD 350 HT and the newer one as RD 350 LT, well at least close when it comes to the feel.

The 220 though had some a mild yellow tint to it and had excellent throw if adjusted properly. Mind you it's just a projector headlamp, not a proper xenon setup which use a bulb and a covex glass setup, that's one. Secondly the newer KTMS have LEDs meaning white light, this is boon and bane. They illuminate the road well when it's really dark (provided how well the beam spread and reflector design is) At the same time, in city riding conditions they equally go clueless when confronted with sodium vapor lamp lights, or LED street lights, they almost stand no chance as the rider would literally feel they are turned off, case with most LEDs. This is where flood light AUX lamps come from, they project a single focused beam as opposed to a spread out white beam from the same LEDs, these come in handy in those blinding situations where one loses eyesight for a moment from oncoming traffic

Sigh, ain't those Halogen bulbs feel better now.

                                Cheers!
