Re: Pulsar NS 160
Yesterday i checked the chain for proper lubrication, while rotating the wheel a ball of mud mixed oily particle fell down. Doubtfully i removed the front sprocket cover and found lot of dust particles and mud mixed with lube deposited around the front sprocket. Cleaned everything and lubed the front sprocket too. This is a small thing but which really needs to be taken care of while lubrication of chain.Xplore the inside, Love it, Ride it & Enjoy...

Re: Pulsar NS 160
The dummy radiator holder is a useless thing as it does not really do any job here. First of all it is very loose and vibrates while running. It can be shaken easily with one finger. The small benefits (may be) i see is a slanting piece at the exhaust pipe starting, which lets more air to the exhaust pipe but really covers the top portion of it. And a funnel shaped rubber air hole to the main spark plug, this should do a lot but the air is on to the walls rather than the spark plug.
I have decided to remove it so that the engine front and oil cooler gets some more exposed to air.
Any opinions....?Xplore the inside, Love it, Ride it & Enjoy...

Re: Pulsar NS 160
One thing i realized cleaning and lubing chain by ur own is better than taking it to service center and u could use some diesel to remove mud and oil from chain.
BTW my bikes Milage automatically increased after 1500 km it is giving around 49-50 kmpl now vibration have increased a little bit not too much,so far so gud

As i have increased the speed, the mileage has decreased to 42 - 44.Originally posted by mortal monk View PostOne thing i realized cleaning and lubing chain by ur own is better than taking it to service center and u could use some diesel to remove mud and oil from chain.

Shell oil performs better than bajaj oil. This oil has covered 1300 kms and still is in golden color (little dark). The ODO reads 3400, it has become smooth than before.Xplore the inside, Love it, Ride it & Enjoy...
