Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I'd immediately doubt the battery if Trip/Time resets on load. Its an indicator that either your battery needs to be replaced or that your battery isn't getting adequately charged.Originally posted by VeVi View PostMotorcycling Experience:

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
IMO the rtr 200 4v wheels would be wider by a few j. Do check them at some TVS outlet. If so, you will have to change spacers. Also thw rear disc fitting would be an issue. Not worth it until you are really hard pressed on doing the mod.Originally posted by kartik Dobhal View PostHey everyone , just want to ask from where i can get apache 200 alloys ? I want to install themnon my rtr 180 ? Are these compatible ?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
It is always possible to install some aftermarket USD forks on any bike. Do remember that the topic of USD vs normal forks has been discussed a lot and I think it is not worth upsetting the chassis with extra force passed on by USD forks given the minor benefits like dive protection and stuff. The coneset and chassis bear all the extra force, I wouldn't like it going at my chassis anyday. But yes, you can still install them.Originally posted by kartik Dobhal View PostHello to all brothers out there. Can anyone tell that is it possible to install USD forks on apache rtr 180 ? If yes then how..n if no then y not .?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Guys,
My Apache RTR 180 fuel gauge blinks all the time, instead of showing the fuel level.
Any idea whats the problem? Anyone faced similar with your RTR?Honda Activa (2011)

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Hello Peeps,
My RTR ABS Is currently 2.5 years old with 16k on the odo.
I am planning on a tire upgrade, is it good to go with a MRF REVZ radial series or do you have better choices?
Thanks

Is it an ABS version? it could be a battery issue.Originally posted by swift View PostGuys,

I usually just follow the time to reserve method. As long as you dont switch to Reserve dont bother checking the gauge.#Shadowfax Apache RTR 180 ABS - 2014 - 2019

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
check the wiring connection that connects the fuel tank and the speedometer. you have to remove the seat to check this.Originally posted by swift View PostGuys,

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
The service indicator has started blinking and my bike doesn't start using electric start on the first try, though kick start works. I have to turn the key to off and on again to use electric start. This is a second hand bike and the console doesn't work. Haven't been able to reset the service indicator. Hence not sure if this is how it works or if the bike has some other issue. Any advice?

Service indicator has nothing to do with the problem you are facing.Originally posted by Joe29 View PostThe service indicator has started blinking and my bike doesn't start using electric start on the first try, though kick start works. Use a multimeter to determine if the battery is adequately getting charged.Originally posted by VeVi View PostThanks for the suggestion @ashwinprakas

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I had an over revving issue 2 months back. Even if i leave the throttle completely(in neutral or in gear with the clutch pulled in fullly) the rpm would settle down to 2.5-2k rpms and then slowly reduce down to idle of 1k rpm. Bike would vibrate and a lot of fuel used to get wasted. I got the accelerator cable changed and it got resolved. Now its back again and this time the SVC told they lubricated the cable, increased play etc. but nothing seems to working. Should i change the cable again( just 2 months old) or will it be some other issue?. Has anyone else faced a similar issue?.
