yes this is the solution set it to 1.5 when engine is hot

then when engine will be cold it will at 1.2 or 1.3
engine become hot it will back to1.5

I completely agree with you man..! even i hardly get to see RTR180 in my city...I guess the reason behind this is that TVS is not that much trusted here in North India in terms of Durability and After Sales Service..People here are fond of Hero Honda and now Yamaha and ofcourse Bajaj.. I wonder why people do not go for TVS. Only low segment bikes are preferred here by people.May be people dont want to invest a big amount in a brand like TVS..Atleast this is what people in north India Think..
May be RTRs are common in South India..South Indians Can comment on this..!!!

Even in my city Ahmedabad, i have seen only 4 to 5 RTR 180 and u can find lot of pulsar 180 and 220 here. Also a waiting of 20-25 days is going on for Pulsar 180.
People over here don't want to spend 77k on RTR as it is a TVS product they feel its better to spend 70K on Bajaj pulsar 180.

                • Hey guys i am having some problem in my RTR.
My RTR has completed 830 kms and i took it too highway for testing its top speed. I was having my friend as a pillion rider i rev it till 10 rpm in each gear, which took the speed to 121 km/hr in last gear. After riding bike for 5 to 6 kms at speed of 100-121 bikelost its power and refused to start for few seconds.
This happened 3rd time with me, whenever i rip my bike for few kms & after than i stop the bike than it shuts down & don't start for few seconds.

Am i putting load on my bike's engine by ripping it too early as it has completed only 830 kms or something else is wrong.

Either you're running bit lean, or the gap of the plug is wrong.

Loss in power only happens when i hit hard on throttle, i have ride this bike for 20 kms continuously at speed below 50, at that time bike was having no problem.

How should i explain the svc guys that bike is running lean as i don't think they would understand what i mean. Secondly can i set the gap of plug by myself?

Richen the mixture by 1/4 turns, bit setting the gap of the plug is a butch thing, get it done by the SC guys as they have a flat plate line thing with exact gap requirement thickness.

Gyan for the day. It's called the "Feeler Gauge".
It is an essential tool for everyone and one can get it from any good spares shop.

                              Count me amongst them, too!!

If the Victor wouldn't have clicked then we could have not seen any of the so-called RTRs and other products from the company. That was the bike which gave TVS the tag of a successful motorcycle manufaturer. My bike's performance even after close to 8 years is simply awesome. It hits 100km/hr and also gives the present low-powered 125cc bike sleepless nights.Heck, it is the brilliance of the Victor that force my brother to go for the RTR and so do my couple of my friends who still swear by it.

About the RTR series not finding acceptance amongst the public, remember it's targeted to the enthusiasts who are always a minority. A typical profile of RTR Customer is totally different than say a Pulsar. You can imagine anyone riding a Pulsar but not a RTR, why? Because A normal rider or commuter would never appreciate/understand/consider the functions of sporty position, petal discs, stiff suspension, short stroker motor etc. and will directly compare with a Pulsar.Heck he wont be aware of the fact that TVS has a racing arm of it's own. RTR series caters to a limited segment of customers who are enthusiasts. A typical commuter would instead go for the Pulsar because it has better ride quality and comfortable if he wants a powerful bike.

Also one more thing to be blamed is the herd mentality prevalent amongst Indians. Just like the Splendors/Passions are invincible in their arenas so are the Pulsars which are unbeatable.

Profile of a RTR Customer: Loves speed and the dose of adrenaline rush, doesn't care much about the looks.Understands basic technical jargons associated with the bike.Believes in value for performance per rupee spent. Doesnt want to suffer from identity crisis.

Profile of a Pulsar Customer(upto P180/200):Loves speed and wants style from the bike. Wants a smoother, comfortable yet powerful machine. My friend has one and so will i. Believes in value for money.

A P220 Customer is completely different from the <200cc Customer of Pulsar because of the absence of serious alternatives.

Profile of a Honda Customer: I dont care.I am riding a Honda. Everything else is a $hit!!

Disclaimer: Those are purely my opinion and the profile nature mentioned might not be true to the xbhpian owners of those bikes.

                                loved it.

But i find RTR one butch looking bike, it has curves and i find it attractive.
