Yes your technique is correct. And about the drag it depends on the tune of your bike and also the rider. Both the bikes are somewhat close in terms of performance so this difference could turn the table either way.And don't over-rev the bike i.e avoid 10k rpm shifts.Originally posted by abbydance4life View PostAny suggestion !!

Some Usual tips:
Croutch!
Dont load the fuel tank to full
Maintain Good Air Pressure
Check Chain Slack,
Clean Air filter,
Switch gears at 8.5K to 9K range, delay 5th gear to 9K
Be nice to him and wave at him when you overtake him
A decently maintained 180 can kill the 200 pretty easily.
PS: Do not Road Race, its illegal, risky to you idiots as well as others on road.Last edited by satyenpoojary; 05-31-2010, 05:56 PM.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Upjetting on his bike has been done when he installed K&N filter.
Thanks for suggestion. When approaching a corner, stay on the gas until you see Jesus. Then brake HARD.

I don't know how tuned my bike is weather it is running rich or a bit rich, regarding rider you are absolutely right. I will be careful about 10k rpm shift, will do on 9 or 9.5 without letting of the gas.Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostYes your technique is correct. And about the drag it depends on the tune of your bike and also the rider. Ok Renny i will shift at 9, i hope its fine, and yes i don't let off the throttle while shift.Originally posted by rennycorneliusIncase of RTR overrev it by 500RPM(MAX produced at 8500).
Shift clutchless.
Dont leave the accelerator at shift, keep the throttle to the max while shifting too.
And find someone to "shoot" the "shootout".
Thanks
