25 front and 28 rear for solo and 25 front and 32 rear with pillion. Didn't your bike come with the sticker on the swing arm with the recommended pressures. The manual also gives you the pressures.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

        • Help Guys!

I've been facing some problems which are irritably disturbing while riding.

Maybe because the rains are here,so you all might be facing these :

1). The fuel filler cap leaks water from outside,I doubt the rubber gasket to be the culprit. But Is there any way to prevent water from entering the tank?..Though there is a small hole inside, which does not allow water to move(most probably working on the principle of Surface tension or viscosity).Scares me still as most of the time I've found water being dropped inside the tank. And that could be hazardous,I believe.

2).The chain is very very noisy.Dusty.And there's this constant "tk tk' sound when I pull the bike from standstill.

3).I've recently changed the rear brakes but they continue to squeal (the front ones too).Tried the discussed solution of using pressurized water but it didn't help remarkably.

4).Not associated with the rains but this one is quite bugging!
The electric starter works in every gear (even when you are not depressing the clutch),tries to start the bike as the rear wheel tends to rotate.I mean, first I thought it may be the faulty neutral but now I found it works for every gear-1st to 5th.Quite scary this thing is!..

Is it suppose to work like that?..
I've checked Yamaha but it won't pull.I think even the A150 doesn't.So why the RTR???
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Yes some amount of water do creep in every bikes. No idea how to keep it off from happening.

Check the slackness and lubrication should keep the noise away.

This is weird. Do you mean that the electric starter gets engaged even when the bike is in gear and without the clutch being depressed.

If yes, then this is not normal.Get the starter checked ASAP.

Change the clutch lever limit switch. There is short circuit onto it.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

Sorry to mention R15 issue here but I am also facing 'Tyre losing pressure everyday' issue. I thoroughly checked for punctures at 4 different shops, tried extremely high pressure and checked for rims etc.. but couldn't trace the issue. Finally given the bike to Service Centre... Lets see what they find out.
I am facing this issue for last three weeks.

I feel most of the new-age Yamaha (FZs and R15s) have this kind of problems. Two of my friends who own R15 have complained of this.Every third day the air inside escapes. No punctures and no faulty air valves. And it's common, most of the forums have discussed this alloy problem.People blame it on the bad quality of alloys.
Wait for the Yamaha service guys' suggestions..

                            • Hi guys, I am new in this thread. I am planning to buy Apache RTR 180 for city riding. What do you guys suggest. I want a mileage above 45 and a decent pick up. I am a college going student so i have limited income. Maintenance is a top priority. I already own a P220 but the bajaj guys are extremely disappointing. I had no plans to sell P220. But after I am suffering from a broken leg because of carelessness of the Bajaj Guys. I am keen to get my hands own this Streetfighter. Please suggest if this bike would be great for me in terms of mileage maintenance and pick up. Thank you. Hoping for the right decision this time.
