AFAIK, this is a common problem on RTRs. My bike (Fi) is 16K Kms old and the cone set balls have been replaced twice. I paid for them since the svc guys say its not covered under warranty (Rs.80balls+Rs.150 labor)
The tak-tak sound from the coneset has been a issue from start. They tighten the coneset, it reduces, but then the bike behaves differently. Then it loosens and same prob is back.
The best you can do is to get it fixed without paying them.

    • guys faced a very strange problem today. i just went to the train station some 15-16 kms and came back and everything was fine. then after sometime i went to the market and there was braking power in the rear disc brake. even after fully applying the brake the bike was steadily going at 20 km/hr meaning total rear disc brake failure. i checked the fluid level and it is up to the max lline. help guys this is a very dangerous thing if it happens in the middle of a ride.what could be the cause of this.

even I am having the same problem with my menace. I talked to the SVC people on phone (as I called them to inquire whether I can bring my bike today for rectifying the same or not). They told me to come on any morning and the coneset will be replaced under warranty without any extra charges of labour or anything. Hope they'll keep their words.

Seems to be air bubble in the system. Will need bleeding. Take to SVC or some trusted mech. I normally have this all the time on my front brake. I dont know how it happens, but I have done this 4-5 times now...

AFAIK it is not the wheel or the disc. I think it is in the front assembly somewhere near the front shock. (Please correct me if I am wrong)

Even I hear a very irritating sound from the front (or engine) at speeds above 70. The bike runs like a charm except the noise (like metal rubbing against each other... Not tak-tak but more like teeeeeeeeee.... {not tee-tee}) Any idea?
